Excellent hotel, great place to stay in Matsumoto.
Pros:

The staff were lovely and helpful, the room was excellent, location was very convenient and we loved the free ice cream or ramen every evening. We extended our stay because we liked the hotel so much.

Cons:

Breakfast was a little expensive so we didn’t eat there, we got onigiri from 7-11 every day instead.

Excellent location
Pros:

Excellent location - a 5 minute walk from Matsumoto Station. Large and spacious rooms relative to other hotels in Japan. Free amenities. The free ice-cream and ramen in the evening was a bonus.

Pros:

The hotel is located at very short distance from the station and at walking distance to the center of the city. The room was very large, bright and clean, probably one of the most comfortable rooms during our trip around Japan. The bathroom was also very large and comfortable, with all toiletries provided. Staff was very kind, they allowed us to check in earlier as the room was ready at arrival. They offered us a free ice cream or ramen at the restaurant at ground level, which was very good.

Cons:

Nothing, everything has met our expectations.

Location, nice clean hotel, spacious rooms.

Cons:

When we checked in, we were told that he had to pay a tourist tax which had been started recently.... This should have been intimated during the booking and not at the time of check in at the hotel. This amount was not calculated by us and posed a huge issue.

Secondly they told us that room cleaning will not happen as per their hotel policies which happens once in 3-4 days...

I'd stay again
Pros:

Very convenient location. Great breakfast. Very clean, decent size (for JAPAN) room. Free night snack of Ramen or Ice cream.

Cons:

Some of the information about local restaurants and services such as massage etc provided on the list provided at the hotel was outdated. Some business was already closed or not exactly the type of the restaurant described.
