I do not even know where to start or how to even keep this concise at all! My husband and I showed up at the Hyatt around 10 or 11am on Friday morning after a very long day of travel and the most horrifying one night experience with a hotel at the oceanfront. I won't get into those details here, but we shared our experience with Noraine at the front desk, and merely asked if she had vacancy for the rest of our intended stay. I expected to have to return hours later for a check in time, but Noraine had so much compassion and empathy for our situation that she allowed us to check-in then and there!! We were able to go up to a room and shower off our terrible experience, and start our vacation completely over ❣️

We had meals, drinks, and coffee all from the bar downstairs over our four day stay and quickly learned that the Hyatt staff are all so talented in so many ways! They are front desk attendants, servers, bartenders, BARISTAS (GO IZZY 😍) and even chefs! Every meal and drink was not only delicious but was accompanied by the friendliest, most personable team of hosts that I have ever encountered.

Everyone we came in contact with treated us with the utmost hospitality, but I wanted to make sure to give special shout outs to Noraine, Izzy, Dyamond, Tasha and Victor. My husband and I meant every word we said, we are eternally grateful for how you took care of us- and we will 100% be coming back to this very hotel for any and all future Virginia Beach trips! SO MUCH LOVE!!!!

Great hotel in the downtown area of Virginia Beach. Close to everything. Town Center is a highly congested area so expect traffic. Rooms were large and clean. Don’t recommend a street view because of all the traffic noise. Bathroom shower could have been much cleaner, not a fan of mold.

Our short stay here was great! Our room was really nice!. Staff friendly. We celebrated our 15 yr wedding anniversary. Great shopping and restaurants.

The Hyatt at Town Center was super clean, so comfortable and roomy! We had a room with 2 queen beds and a couch- refrigerator, closet- nice bathroom! Loved it!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Place Virginia Beach Town Center, and I can honestly say the customer service was exceptional from beginning to end.

The night before my arrival, I called the hotel and spoke with Paul, the overnight associate. His professionalism, kindness, and welcoming attitude immediately reassured me that I had selected the right hotel. A few hours later, I called back and spoke with Dyamond, who greeted me by name because Paul had already informed her that I would be arriving. That level of communication and attention to detail truly made me feel valued as a guest before I even checked in. The level of customer service Dyamond provided was absolutely top notch — warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.

Once I arrived, the outstanding experience continued. Manager Victor made my stay feel incredibly personal and welcoming. He went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and genuinely cared about my experience, which made my stay even more memorable.

I also want to recognize Noraine and Izzy, who were both absolutely exceptional with their customer service skills. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to help at all times did not go unnoticed. Every interaction with the staff reflected true hospitality and teamwork.

It’s rare to find a hotel where every staff member consistently delivers such top-tier service, but this team absolutely did. Because of this amazing experience, I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this location to anyone visiting the area.

Front desk person seemed bored, not even a smile when checking in. I tried to make some small talk, but she literally wanted to be left alone.

Got the king bed/ sofa bed room. At 10 pm, when it was time to sleep we realized that they gave blankets and sheets only for 2 people even though room is supposed to sleep 4. Called the front desk 10 times and it went voicemail each time.
It's a bare minimum type hotel, don't expect much . I wouldn't trust the 4.5 star reviews on Google.

And I agree with other reviewers. Doors are loud. You can hear every door closing in the hallway all night.

Great location in the Virginia Beach Central shopping and entertainment area. You can actually park and walk as everything is that close. A full bar that is open until 2am in addition to an all you can eat breakfast at no cost.

We were greeted on arrival and checked in quickly and efficiently. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable bedding and easy temp control. The free breakfast buffet offered many options which were of good quality. One employee in particular, Cindy, was very kind and helpful, offering us some remaining food selections since we were the last breakfast patrons. Overall a very pleasant stay.
