Hotel Yak & Yeti

Three of us stayed at Yak & Yeti before and after our Kailash Parikrama, and it was a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful, well maintained, and very welcoming. Our rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable.

What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional staff. Everyone we interacted with was professional, warm, and genuinely helpful. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all excellent, and we’ll definitely miss both the delicious food and the wonderful hospitality.

My apologies if I’ve missed a few names, but a special thank you to Jhapad, John, Anisha, Manisha, and Raj for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. ❤️

I had a wonderful stay at the Yak & Yeti in Nepal and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Kathmandu, especially solo travellers.

From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent. The airport pickup and drop-off were included and made the arrival and departure completely stress-free. The hotel itself is peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful gardens that provide a lovely escape from the busy city.

The breakfast was satisfying, with a good selection of options, including gluten-free choices, which I really appreciated.

I had booked a Club Shangrila room, which was overlooking the gardens, it was clean and and very comfortable. What truly made my stay special, however, was the Club Shangri-La team — Aayushma, Shradha, Amar and Suman. They were consistently warm, welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. After a long day of sightseeing, it was always such a pleasure to return and be greeted by the team with a glass of wine and great conversation.

As a solo traveller, I particularly appreciated how attentive they were. They took the time to chat, make me feel welcome and offer excellent suggestions for places to visit and things to do. Their genuine hospitality made me feel very comfortable and well looked after throughout my stay.

A special thank you to the team for making my time at the Yak & Yeti so enjoyable. Their service and warmth really stood out and added something special to my trip.
I hope I will be able to return soon.

Great property, centrally lcoated, good staff and value for money. It was a really nice experience to stay at Yek & Yei Kathmandu. This was my second visit. The staff was amazing the rooms were great and the value for money is also good.

We had our son’s wedding there and stayed there for almost a month. The staff could not have been more helpful. Specially, Ms Sudha and Mr Sushant were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help and support us. The facility is excellent, food is excellent. Considering the quality of I would say the price is very reasonable. We plan to stay there every time we visit Kathmandu.

I had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Hotel Yak & Yeti, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The property itself is beautiful, what made our trip unforgettable was personal hospitality shown to my family.
(The Club Lounge):
We spent every afternoon and evening here, and it quickly became our favorite spot, thanks entirely to the incredible team. Shradha, Aayushma, Amar, and Suman showered my daughter, Avery, with so much genuine warmth and care. Avery absolutely loved chatting with each of them, and they made her feel so incredibly welcome. A huge thank you to them for always looking out for her and keeping her happy—she always talks about how much she loved the pita bread and chickpeas dip !
(The Breakfast Buffet):
The morning team brought so much energy for the start of the day. Chef Rajendra made the most delicious ham and cheese scrambled eggs for us exactly to our liking. Jhapad gave us wonderful recommendations for local food to try, and we were incredibly impressed that he remembered our exact coffee choices from the very first day.
I highly recommend Hotel Yak & Yeti to anyone visiting, especially families. We will definitely be back!

The service and ambience were immaculate. Really loved the food there and Sonika was very hospitable and welcoming. They took really good care of us and made sure they checked in often :)

The renovated rooms with balcony in Shangrila floor with garden view are amazing. Buffet breakfast and dinner at chimneys or spice kitchen was awesome and well served. Room. Amenities and hotel ambience is great.

On our last day in Kathmandu, we decided to opt for some international flavors, ordering the chicken biryani and chicken stroganoff. Our experience was made even better by Rabi, a wonderful staff member who served us wholeheartedly, stayed incredibly attentive, and always greeted us with a warm smile.
