The hotel was great. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. It was lovely in decor, quiet and clean. The location worked out well for our group.
We booked 3 rooms. Upon arrival, 2 were adjoining and the 3rd across the hall which was perfect. Somehow during the check-in process, the 2 adjoining rooms were given to another party and we were situated on 2 different floors. Other than that the hotel was wonderful and we would stay there again.
Location
Our first room when where given was never cleaned. The second room our keys were canceled because they couldn't remember what room they gave use. But it was great after we got settled in.
The location was great, and they did a beautiful job with the restoration of the hotel
We had a delicious cappuccino, but did not have any breakfast.
Our room was nice, but very dark, overlooking a building next door. The airconditioning unit was noisy. It would be much nicer to have actual milk/creamers in the hotel room rather the powdered non-dairy creamers.

The location was great, workers were VERY nice, hotel was beautiful inside.
The first room we had didn’t have a working air conditioner, tried to even open windows but it was still very warm. Got moved to a second room and it smelled like stinky cheese or something and there were baby flies all over … 😭.
Nothing
The room was not what I reserved. I wanted a king and I was told they overbooked and I had to take a room with 2 queens if that is what you call it. The price should be compensated. The bartender was very rude and acted like it was a bother. One of reason that would've been nice if the roof top was open but it never seems to be. Again no staff. The hotel is not run as it should be so what is the problem. If you had a proper staff this place might do better.
Very nice room, excellent location, on premise dining was great. Just an all around unique and good experience.
No one told us that as a guest we got a card giving us 20% off at the on promise restaurant. Also the meal description in the booking was confusing stating $12 for breakfast and lunch and $24 for dinner was an option. When I asked they said it's just that dollar amount in the form of a voucher so no better than cash. I'm not certain I still don't understand what it was about. Didn't really matter to us at all. Just thought it was odd. In no way did that alter our opinion and how much we enjoyed the stay.
They've tried hard to make this into one of the nicer hotels in the area. Our room was comfortably laid out and very clean. I love the plugs near the bed(s) for accessories. Large bathroom sink area and great pressure in the shower.
Some suggestions if staying here:
(1) ask for a room away from Sheridan road (back of hotel.) It got very busy as early as 5:30am. We picked up a fan for white noise and that resolved the issue.
(2) if you're a coffee drinker, check that they've left regular pods with the coffee maker BEFORE you go to bed the night before.
(3) if you want maid service, you must tell them the night before for the next day (possibly that morning)
(4) park in the church lot to the south.
The only thing I wish they'd improve is putting mattress pads on the beds. The sheets and blankets are very clean and nice, but you're sleeping directly on the mattress without a pad in between. Or pack one.
