Good Stay Overall, Just Know the Area
Pros:

Overall had a good experience.

Check in was easy and the staff was friendly, which always sets the tone right from the start. The lobby has clearly been recently renovated and looks really nice. It feels fresh and updated, and it’s a comfortable place to hang out or grab a quick coffee. The hotel did a pretty extensive renovation not too long ago, which shows in the common areas.

The rooms seem to have been updated as well. Nothing over the top, but clean, functional, and comfortable. They have a modern look to them with updated finishes, but still pretty straightforward overall.

Location is solid. It’s right in downtown Austin and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and things to do, which makes it convenient if you want to explore the city without relying too much on rides. I like to walk so what I may think is close may not be close to someone else.

That said, just be mindful of your surroundings, especially at night. There seemed to be a lot of homeless folk congregating in the area (not specifically around the hotel), but something to be aware of if you’re walking around.

Overall, it’s a good option if you want to be in the middle of everything. Clean, updated, and convenient. Just go in knowing the location comes with a bit of energy around it.

Pros:

- horrible customer service minus 1-2 people
- wrong order to room
- repeated 3 times the same request to room service
- unfriendly & unwelcoming hosts
- pool was cold and very small
- reported water spill to security, she made me swipe it myself

I loved this hotel.
Pros:

This was a beautiful hotel with wonderful customer service. The view from my guest room was beautiful, and it was conveniently close to the area where my conference was being held.

Anniversary trip
Pros:

We visited Austin to celebrate our anniversary and the Omni Downtown did not disappoint! We stayed on the Club Level and Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time each day. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and shopping, as well as giving us ideas for spots we shouldn't miss. Great service all around, we will be back!

Centrally located conference hotel with some Austin flair
Pros:

Stayed here for a birthday trip. The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel is massive with many conferences going on. It is also part of an office building. It is walkable to many downtown sights, a street over from the famous Driskill. On floors 1-13, they had funny Austin marquee phrases. The pool looked nice but we did not use. Visited the gym once and it offered a variety of equipment. Unfortunately, during one early morning of our stay, some type of alarm down the hall went off. It was resolved about an hour later.

Gym was great! Lots of equipment and spacious

Cons:

My room wasn’t ready when I arrived at 3.30pm and was told it would be ready in the next 30 mins.
It still wasn’t ready an hour and a half later which was strange.
The view overlooked the atrium of the hotel, rather than outside (couldn’t see outside properly).
Shower made a loud sound continuously when in use (only used it once as used the bath instead but a bit odd)
I did expect a bit more as the hotel was in the expensive side compared to others in the area
