I do not recommend an inner courtyard room.we were not aware of that.. very dark room. Hallway light turns on bright if someone gets up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Quite annoying.

Noisy overpriced rooms

The only good thing about this hotel is location. Everything else is bad.

I booked a very expensive room specifically because it was advertised as overlooking the piazza, and the room costs considerably more because of this view. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I discovered that the windows on the 4th floor are positioned so high that it is practically impossible to enjoy the view. I literally had to jump just to be able to see outside. Paying a premium for a view that you cannot actually see makes very little sense.

The room itself was extremely noisy. Opening the windows was not an option because of the amount of noise coming from the piazza. At the same time, the air conditioning inside the room was also extremely loud and made sleeping impossible. As a result, I spent the entire night unable to sleep: the room was too hot with everything turned off, too noisy with the windows open, and too noisy with the air conditioning running.

There were several other problems with the room. There is a radio built into the bed that can easily be switched on accidentally in the middle of the night. The bed itself is very small for two adults of average European size. The toilet flush is unbelievably loud and continues making noise for around 10 minutes before finally settling down.

Breakfast was also extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, closer to what I would expect from a 2-star hotel. The selection was very poor, there was no fresh fruit, and there was no possibility to have freshly prepared eggs or an omelette.

Overall, this was a terrible stay. The hotel advertises itself as a 4-star property and charges accordingly, but both the room and the level of service fell far below what I would expect from a hotel in this category. Most importantly, I paid a substantial premium for a supposedly superior room and ended up not sleeping at all.

I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it at this price point.
