Guests are advised the same card that was used to make the booking will be required to take the payment.
Pets are welcome - there is a £15 per pet per stay supplement. Also a £100 damage deposit is required at check in- this is returned at check out - minus the £15 supplement & and any damage.
Pets are welcome to be in your room, bar & lounge areas - pets are not permitted in the main restaurant.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful historic building in a very central location, with Bute Park and Cardiff Castle right on the doorstep. The facilities were clean and straightforward, and the room had everything I needed for a short stay.
There is no air conditioning, which is worth bearing in mind during warmer weather. I stayed during the heatwave and the room did get quite warm, although a fan was provided and worked well.
The appearance of the hotel was amazing ,breakfast was out of this world
Parking was overpriced as I found out if I have booked it privately it would have cost nearly £10 less than the £18 i paid ,its a beautiful which needs a little TLC ,would use again if I come to Cardiff but will arrange parking myself
Large room,Comfy bed,good shower.
Nothing. Except the hallways felt like the heating was on & were overly warm. But that was a minor gripe.
Room was very spacious and the bed was very comfy. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
The construction work outside
Location was amazing for what me and my friends needed it for. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly and happy to help.

Construction right outside the window that started 8:30 in the morning, also the sound isolation within the building isn’t great. Could hear people outside the door very clearly

Reception staff taking complaints without any options to resolve when customers are shocked at the state of the hotel
Water dripping through the ceiling and buckets and hazard boards in the corridor
Carpets were so shockingly dirty that I couldn’t take my shoes off - took photos and let reception know.
Prices do not reflect condition of hotel so customers expectations are unrealistic

Lift was a bit dated and small.
The staff were very friendly, positioning couldn't be better and there's a definite feel of history there.
The hotel is old so if you like shiny new, it's not the place for you.

Location was good
My room was very dated, walls looked like they had wet patches on the wallpaper. High ceilings with cobwebs on the ceilings although overall clean. Curtains difficult to close as the windows were so high. Very soft lumpy bed. Noisy during the night from other people entering their rooms or in the corridor and from road traffic.
Perfect location and very nice room. Nice bar/restaurant area with great staff. Good breakfast.
Needs a bit of tlc in places.
