Terrible experience – would not recommend!

We booked four rooms for a short stopover before flying back to the UK. We arrived at 11 am, just one hour before the stated 12 pm check-in, but none of our rooms were ready. We returned at 6 pm and still faced a lengthy check-in process.

When I entered my room, it was filthy. Staff blamed colleagues for giving us the wrong key, then claimed the room had an air-conditioning issue. Why was a key to a dirty room with a known issue being given to a customer in the first place?

I was moved to a disabled-access room on a different floor from my family. The room had extremely low sinks, had multiple flying ants, no hot water, a showerhead holder fixed too low and no towel rail.

To make matters worse, I got locked inside the toilet for 20 minutes! I could only call for help because the disabled room had an emergency telephone. Imagine if I had been in a normal room without one? I could have been trapped for much longer. Staff eventually opened the door and walked away without even apologising. They then rang the room bell, despite me still being trapped inside the toilet and unable to open the main door!

We were offered another room, but we were only staying for less than six hours before our flight, so moving rooms again was hardly a solution.

The lack of organisation, cleanliness, basic facilities and, most importantly, concern for guest safety was shocking. We received no apology or accountability for what happened.

Avoid this hotel. What should have been a simple stopover turned into a stressful and distressing experience.

My parents had a wonderful experience at Ambara Hotel in Trivandrum. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, exceeding our expectations.

The staff were extremely professional, friendly, polite, and welcoming. Their excellent hospitality and genuine care made my parents feel comfortable and valued throughout their stay.

It was truly reassuring to hear how happy and satisfied my parents were with their experience. The hotel’s commitment to cleanliness, guest comfort, and quality service deserves special appreciation.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire Ambara Hotel team for making their stay so pleasant and memorable.

Not bad , but not so good . Just ok ok
Pros:

The property is not fully visible being in a turning. Room service is not so good. Replenishment of milk powder and coffee powder is done only on persistent requests on continously stay . Room cleaning is not done daily on continous stay ofvtgr guest. The area is a bit isolated even though kims health is only 700 metres away

Comfortable stay in anayara, Thiruvananthapuram.
Pros:

Stay was very comfortable. Staffs were good and cooperative .

Cons:

A/C switch was fitted along with light switches. That was little confusing. Also the main road work troubled my car parking.
