Excellent location, fun and eclectic designs and quotes throughout the hotel. Breakfast was excellent!
The security and staff were fantastic. The location was amazing. The music floating up from below was wonderful. The street-facing room provided fantastic views of the white whale and pirate ship out front during the Art Festival. The safe to keep passports & belongings & whatnot was reassuring. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The blackout curtains were effective and allowed us to sleep in. The hallways were quiet for the duration of our stay.
We came back after dinner & listening to music and almost stepped 3 separate puddles of vomit in front of and on the stairs of the entrance, but we let the bouncers at the bar know and they had it cleaned up fairly quickly.
The breakfast was excellent and great value.
This hotel like all in Galway was very expensive - certainly far more than I’ve paid in the past. Given the price, it was disappointing that neither the safe nor the coffee machine worked.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing due to mould in the hotel room. It was clearly visible and made the room feel damp, unpleasant, and unhygienic. When I raised the issue with the staff, they seemed uninterested and didn’t appear concerned or willing to resolve the problem, which made the experience even more frustrating for the price we paid of €327 for one night. Cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service all need significant improvement. I hope the hotel takes these issues seriously for future guests.
