Historic setting. Quiet surroundings.

Booked room with bath but only shower. Didn't ask about bath as only there one night
Had two rooms, one for two nights and one for one night. We were there for a wedding at Green grove barn. It was perfect location for this. However, the first room was very dated and needed better cleaning. There were quite a few cobwebs and biscuit wrappers in drawers. It fitted with the medieval theme though. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. There was no one around the next morning as the pub was shut when we left for the wedding, therefore no breakfast facilities even though I seen this advertised when booking. It was quite expensive for what we got. Almost got charged twice too when the rest of the party turned up for the wedding evening do and were told to pay again. The second room was apparently nicer than the first but I didn’t see it personally. Bar staff continued to serve someone from our party when we arrived back after the wedding, even after being told not to as they were quite inebriated and getting rowdy. All in all, I wouldn’t go back

Location was good and we had parking. Liked to large window seat .
Breakfast wasn’t available, evening food had finished by the time we arrived. My booking was advertised as been a room with a bath but we only had a shower(bath was a booking point for us as husband had taken part in an ultra marathon). The room was very hot and windows didn’t open at all. We did have a fan in the room but it did help much. But with all this been said in was an ok stay .

Lovely old inn with lots of character. Huge room and very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Quiet overnight and easy to park in the car park. I had a great sleep!
The bathroom was a little tired but perfectly functionable. Nothing else.

Room hot,furniture dated, odd cups with tea stuff, excessive mould in shower ceiling, shaving light not working, lighting in room poor, bulbs blown in ceiling light
