The name implies it has a SPA but it does NOT only and indoor pool! That doesn't qualify to be called a spa that was misleading.
No on site spa as the name implies, main suite did not have a hand basin in the toilet and only one shared bathroom

Very disappointing experience. This hotel is nowhere near the standard you would expect from a genuine 5-star property. The room felt dated, with cheap, low-quality furniture that looked more like budget flat-pack furnishings than luxury hotel décor. Several areas showed signs of wear and poor maintenance, and the overall cleanliness was below expectations. The bed was particularly uncomfortable, which is unacceptable for a hotel in this category. Considering the price charged and its 5-star rating, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. In my opinion, this hotel is much closer to a 3-star property than a true 5-star hotel. I would not recommend it.
Extremely disappointing experience. This hotel falls far short of what should be expected from a true 5-star property. The staff were not professional and often gave the impression of hastily recruited students rather than trained hospitality personnel. Service lacked the attention, efficiency, and standards expected at this level.
The breakfast was one of the biggest disappointments. It was simply not worthy of a 5-star hotel. The selection was limited, the overall quality of the food was poor, and it was not even possible to order freshly cooked fried eggs, something that is standard in most luxury hotels.
The rooms were closer to a 3-star standard than a luxury property. The bedding was uncomfortable, the furniture looked like inexpensive flat-pack IKEA-style furnishings, and many items were worn, dirty, and poorly maintained. The overall impression was one of neglect rather than luxury.
Considering the room rates and the hotel’s 5-star classification, this experience was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel.
I loved that it was older and it was a beautiful building. The staff was amazing the food was so delicious. I loved this part of our trip and if I came back, I would want to only stay at this hotel.
There was nothing that we didn’t like.
Il faut reconnaître d’abord que cet hôtel n’est pas un cinq étoiles. Il n’en a pas les caractéristiques, ni en termes de confort ni en ce qui concerne les services. Ceci dit, dans toutes autres catégories, il pourrait être considéré comme un bon voire un très bon établissement. Les personnes qui y travaillent sont chaleureuses, c’est propre, ma chambre était plutôt confortable et finalement il est assez bien situé.
On peut vraiment regretter cette indication peu pertinente de cinq étoiles, même si elle est sans doute officielle. Les clients qui choisissent cet hôtel en se basant sur la catégorie indiquée seront forcément déçues et risquent de porter un jugement sans doute trop sévère par rapport aux qualités de l’établissement.
Good facilities, friendly staff and great location
For the amount of money that I paid I was expecting a bit better. They are not flexible with their customers. Check in time is too late (4pm) and even so the hotel was empty they didn’t let us check in a bit early.

My wife and I have just spent 5 nights at the Belfry. Our experience was very disappointing due to very poor service and the very poor attitude of the staff and the owner. It fell far below the standards you would expect at any reasonable hotel never mind a 5 star hotel
The main issue arises from the breakfast room being unstaffed once the breakfast has been laid out. The only person around was the receptionist in the adjacent hotel lobby so we had to bring these matters to her attention.
On 3 of the 5 breakfasts the coffee machine was out of service when we arrived. One of these mornings the hot food pots were empty as was the tray for tomatoes. The knife for the bread was unsuitable and due to the receptionists denial I had to show her it couldn’t cut the baguettes. We left the breakfast room after 15 minutes and still no hot food.
When we left the breakfast room the receptionist proceeded to chastise me for raising my complaints. It caused her embarrassment, it wasn’t her job; I should speak to the manager.
On then asking to speak to the manager she replied I couldn’t as she wasn’t available and has been told not to say where the manager is or when she is available. She gave me a card but it had the phone number of the phone next to her on the reception desk and the general email address of the hotel.
This poor service and resulting tension made us feel so uncomfortable that I emailed my complaint as requested and asked for a refund (everything had to be pre-paid) for the remaining 3 nights as we wanted to check out such was our disappointment. The manager, Victoria, emailed refusing our refund request but as a gesture of goodwill offered complimentary breakfast for the remaining 3 nights. Within 10 minutes another email arrived “clarifying” her offer in that she would not charge us for breakfast if we chose not to have it! So the goodwill gesture is not to charge us for something if we don’t have it.

Nothing . It is not a 5* hotel.
There is no lounge to relax & have coffee. The bar did not open until 5pm. The fixtures & fittings in the room were shocking-cheap white Formica. The snacks were left on a plate - dreadful presentation . One mars bar -£5, one bag of haribo & one bag of Maltesers . The bedding was ruched & rough . The main stairs were covered in artificial grass as was the tiny lift . The spa was not open and the hotel is run on a shoestring .
