Great location
We absolutely loved this hotel! From arrival trip is seamless. Rooms are extremely comfortable, food is great and bathrooms are luxurious. Extensive gym and nice pool area with facilities available. Central downtown location, easy to get around from hotel. Staff are great. We visit Montreal very often and have stayed at other hotels in the area we always stay here as it is always reliable for an amazing stay and is superior. The staff are amazing.

From arrival to check out my husband and I had a five-star experience. I was nervous about the parking/valet situation because of some other reviews but it couldn't have been more seamless - we pulled up and Miguel came over to welcome us, take our keys, and direct us where to go, and he was an absolute gem. Front desk staff were just as welcoming, kind and genuine. Our room was beautiful and spotless and comfortable, and the bed was excellent. The lighting in the ambiance was really unique and lovely.
We were able to secure a late check-out and any time we had a question, front desk staff was accommodating and helpful (I wish I could remember the name of the woman who checked us in and out - she was LOVELY). We had breakfast at Marcus and really enjoyed it. Check-out was just as quick and easy. We liked using the in-room iPad to arrange for our car before we checked out, and it was a nice, simple way to request turndown service.
We didn't get to use the pool because it was being filled while we were there, but we enjoyed using the sauna and steam room, and the gym equipment was top notch. The hotel itself is within a block of all the shopping you could hope to do on Sainte-Catherine St, and we always felt just around the corner from something good to eat, drink, or see. Would absolutely stay here again and again.

Breakfast was great and hospitality was exceptional.
We had to wait for over 2 hours upon prompt arrival due to unjustified delays checking in due to our room being unavailable. There was also extended delays waiting for the single functional elevator. Our frustration was nevertheless diminished with complementary sparkling wine and we were permitted to check out somewhat later than permitted.
TRUE LUxury is having that extra touch during turndown service.
True luxury is anticipating the guest’s needs before they even have to ask.
True luxury is not having to wait 20min for someone to pick our order at breakfast.
Unfortunately, we did not experience that at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
Our room was not cleaned by 4pm, which in cannot happen in this scale of hotels, but the response we received was surprising: “We might be able to send someone.” Might? In a hotel positioned at this level, that wording alone says a lot. Luxury should feel certain, not conditional.
Sound isolation was another disappointment. Hearing a couple next door during their private activities as if they were in the same room is uncomfortable anywhere, but in a high-end hotel it is simply unacceptable. Add to that clearly hearing the television from the adjacent room, and it becomes difficult to justify the premium positioning.
The positive outcome of this stay is clarity. For my next trips, I have already booked The Peninsula Hotels and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
Based on this experience, I will not be returning to Four Seasons.
