Location perfect but this once grand hotel needs a lot of love.
Pros:

Location is perfect, onsite parking is good. Staff lovely.

Cons:

When l arrived one lift was not working and then during my stay the other one stopped so we had to use fire escape stairs. Room had a small window that looked out onto dirty wall. Very basic accommodation but it was cheap.

Loved the location to go to the footy. Room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the 11am Checkout

I’d be comming back but if I’m woken before my checkout time after paying extra I will need to be refunded for the whole

Cons:

Paying extra for a late checkout but getting harassed by staff/managers from 11 am
I even had a do not disturb sign on the door

We have stayed two times in the last 3 weeks for one night at a time. First time our room was so hot it was uncomfortable. One lift was working and it would hold 6 people so this was not ideal but we thought hey let’s give it another go. This time room was cooler. The lift still wasn’t fixed. Now this was showdown in Adelaide so it was busy. We parked our car but do you think we could get in the lift??? No because every time people that wanted to go to their room decided it was a good thing to get in the lift on ground floor fill the lift up go down to the carpark so people in the car park could never get in. We waited approx 15 mins to get a lift that was available. Then we had to squish in.This is terrible. First time a few weeks ago fine we thought we will give it another go. Never again. Fix the lift it’s not that hard. Oh also made to feel guilty booking a room with 2 beds which we paid for and wanted us to change to one bed.
