Great hotel and staff in a wonderful position witn marvellous views
Pros:

Great upgrade to The Royal Suite which was amazing

Cons:

Did need a roll out bed for the third guest which was a bit disappointing considering the size of the suite

Loved the location, room and pool.
Pros:

It was in a perfect spot, our room had a beautiful view of the marina

Cons:

Expensive not worth it.
Pros:

Cost a fortune.. room was a hike away from reception with no help dragging cases.
Toiletry products were screwed down so I had to go to reception to get shampoo/body wash in order to use the bath.
Food only ok in club lounge.
Hole in bathrobe..

Location was great. Beds were divinely comfy. Showers great. bathroom upgraded. Balcony nice with ocean views!
Buffet breakfast fine.
Concierge helpful and friendly.
Housekeeping and Breakfast Staff were lovely.

Cons:

OLD building, poor maintenance,shabby exterior. Pool area tired and loungers all filthy and covered in bird muck.

Lady on Reception cold and disinterested in assisting.
Tardy room servicing!
NOT 5 STAR and too expensive at over $500 NZD per night.

Wouldn't stay again - booking expectations unmet.

Our overall experience was coloured by our initial check in - please see below.

Cons:

We pre-paid for a Deluxe twin room with 2 double beds and were shown to a small corner room with one king bed. There wasn't enough space to separate the bed into two singles. We were told by two different reception staff that they didn't have a twin room available, but when I returned to reception and made clear that this was unacceptable, they miraculously found one on another floor. The building itself is like a giant maze and difficult to find one's way. Needless to say, we will not stay again.

I don’t think I would stay again.
Pros:

I have stayed at this hotel before, had a marina view room.
This time it was a standard room on the ground floor no pool view or Marina view.

Cons:

For the price that was paid for the room, I wasn’t impressed to find stains on the couches nor to have a ground floor room.
Disappointed with the relocation of the restaurant for breakfast. It use to be a beautiful start to the day having breakfast out by the water
