I have been a Hilton Honors member for more than two decades and have stayed at hundreds of Hilton properties around the world. I am also a Marriott Bonvoy member and have stayed at many Marriott properties as well. I mention this only to make clear that I travel frequently and have a reasonable basis for comparison.
I stayed at this hotel for two nights this week, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a long time.
First, I was assigned a room on the first floor, located near the rear entrance. The constant slamming of the door throughout the night made it very difficult to sleep. Second, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and appeared badly outdated. My room had two beds, and I tried both, but neither was any better. The pillows were also very flat and uncomfortable.
For approximately $300 per night, plus taxes, I would expect a much better sleeping experience, including decent sheets, pillows, and bedding. Instead, the sheets and comforter felt very low quality.
The breakfast was just okay. There is an $18 buffet, which I did not find to be worth the price. The hotel also offers basic à la carte options. The coffee was cold and lacked flavor. That said, the breakfast staff was attentive and friendly.
The location is convenient if you need to be close to the airport, which is about a 15-minute drive. However, there is very little within easy walking distance. The hotel is located on a major road with heavy traffic, and crossing the street requires walking to the nearest traffic light. The nearby options are mostly fast-food restaurants, gas stations, and a Denny’s about two blocks away, which is not ideal in the Dallas heat.
At checkout, the hotel was unable to print my receipt.
Overall, the hotel needs a significant upgrade. Given the condition of the rooms, the quality of the bedding, and the overall experience, I found it to be grossly overpriced for what it offers. I would not stay here again and do not recommend it.
The rooms are always nice, clean and roomy
I added a person to room and the rate went up.
Convenient
Not upscale
We reserved two rooms and selected the advanced purchase rate and prepaid 2 weeks prior to our stay. On the day of our stay they charged us AGAIN. When I called prior to boarding my flight I was told numerous times that I didn't pay prior even though I can clearly see it taken out of my bank with the advanced purchase notation from Hilton. Then the story went to I wasnt actually charged again even though I could clearly see it out of my bank account to then it was well this is Hiltons policy but it wasnt an actual charge just a hold and that as soon as I check out I will see my money back. However it WAS a charge, my money is not back into my account and my bank shows they put it through. I will be contacting Hilton corporate as I am a business diamond member and filing a complaint with the BBB. Save yourself the headache. There are much nicer Hilton properties nearby.
As an single African American woman, I didn't like the fact that I was placed in an conjoined room at the end of the hall next to the exit door. I felt extremely uncomfortable like I was being setup for human trafficking.
