Chattanooga Marriott Downtown

JoJocelyn totally brightened our day! She was incredibly sweet, thoughtful, quick-witted, and pleasant. She ended up being the main topic of discussion at our breakfast table.

We had a great breakfast! Caitlyn took care to ensure we were doing well and you just cannot beat a Marriott breakfast!

We were welcomed as Platinum Elite members, our room was quiet and clean, self parking was efficient and safe, and the hors d’oeuvres in the MClub were very good . The dinner hostess was very friendly. What really stood out was the breakfast in the MClub the following morning. The spread of food was spectacular, and the arrangement was a site for tired eyes. The morning hostess, Denise Howard, was so cheerful and welcoming that she was like icing on the cake.
We will be returning to this hotel next month. We really look forward to it.

Denise “the hostess with the mostess” at the M-club is fantastic. She always makes everyone feel welcome and special. The hotel is great Good location, friendly staff, easy in and out commute wise.

We were traveling for a vacation May 26 & 27, 2026.
Positives: Great location, walkable for downtown. Comfortable beds. Clean room.

Kudos to Autumn and Mama Trice. They were the most pleasant and attentive waitresses for breakfast. When we were seated Autumn greeted us with a big smile and pleasant attitude. Nice to talk to. She made sure we had everything we wanted like timely breakfast, coffee and water refills. Then Mama Trice stopped by. She was so enthusiastic about her town and gave us information about the town and what to see. She told us about the Free shuttle service and events in town.

Places for improvement: the front desk did their job checking us in, but they made no attempt to tell us about things like the free shuttle even when we asked for information about walkable restaurants. They should be promoting their city. And no one could tell us where there was a coffee shop nearby. We did find Sleepy Head a few blocks away so let them know.

The worst was the morning hostess Jocelyn. When we walked up she looked up at us and without saying a word grabbed two menus and started walking. Placed the menus on the table and walked away. There was no “Good morning”, “How Many?”, “Follow me”, “Is this table ok?”, “Enjoy your breakfast.”
NOT A WORD. I suggest more training for her.

Thank goodness for Autumn and Mama Trice.

Overall a good hotel.

Jocelyn was our host in the restaurant and she was very friendly and helpful. The service and food was great!

Hotel was great, one of the best things here was mama trice!! She was the best waitress, fun, loving, respectful and very attentive

Nice hotel. Good location. Did valet parking. Bad pillows!!! Lots of bathroom counter space. Sliding bathroom door with frosted glass is terrible for the person trying to sleep while the other person turns on the light in the middle of the night. No safe or Old Persons Mirror. The restaurant was confusing. The bar seems to be the restaurant since the 2nd floor actual restaurant is only open for breakfast. And we did not enjoy our breakfast with poor service.

There were two ladies who made my stay a wonderful experience.
First, Lisa Chaney went above and beyond to make sure my room, my stay and my experience was wonderful. Thank you so much.
Secondly, Caitlyn greeted me with a smile for morning breakfast. Her customer service skills were awesome.

From the bell attendants, to the front desk clerks, to the banquet servers and the restaurant staff, all were exceptionally kind, professional and efficient. A special shout out to Mama Trice in the second floor restaurant at breakfast time. She was fantastic, so warm, friendly and caring as she went about her daily activities. This Marriott location is top notch all the way.
