Chattanooga Marriott Downtown

Table South has the best waitress (Mama Trice) and the best brioche french toast! I definitely recommend the food and ask for Mama. She will brighten your day! She goes above and beyond! Thank you for making my day!

Had a very great experience at the breakfast buffet they had a great selection of food and Morra Trice delivered excellent service during my meal! She was so kind and went above and beyond! Hotel is also in a great location!

Mama Trice was WONDERFUL! She makes you feel right at home. One of the best encounters I’ve had in a long time! Go see her for a 10/10 experience!

Clean, comfortable, rooms have been recently updated. Centrally located in the city, staff was friendly and helpful.

Pleasant stay

Location was so convenient being attached to the convention center. This hotel has been here for a while, which you can tell the renovations were done well. The room was very modern up-to-date with many options for outlets. There are many places to sit down and more common areas within the hotel. Nice bar in the lobby I believe at some point there were some live music. I love that Marriott offers great rates and discounts. Our room was very clean and so was the rest of the hotel. Well, it is located near an interstate. You could not hear any noise from it from our room. The staff is more than accommodating with request like extra towels, even one of the staff, Anna gave me a great tip that there is filtered water as well as sparkling water in the gym.

One of the staff stood out above the rest was Moma Trice in the restaurant. We popped in midday after they had already closed to ask about the breakfast options the next morning. Even though she was clearly busy with her other responsibilities. She was super helpful and went above and beyond for us. She even gave me advice on the bus that came near to take us to family dollar.
I was traveling with three kids and they love a pool when we get to go to hotels. I knew the only one they offered was outside and it was early spring so we did not bring swim trunks or bathing suits.

It’s people like Moma Trice and Anna that will bring us back to this hotel.

Rooms are clean and comfy. The views are beautiful. Pool is heated and so nice. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Moma Trice in the dining room is an angel on earth!

I almost did not get the opportunity to experience a stay at the Chattanooga Marriott. I was checking in without a reservation and the front desk and she informed me the hotel was fully booked. While inquiring about another hotel to stay at another front desk clerk over heard the conversation and stepped in and found a room for me. Her name is Kayleigh and she came to the rescue because I just finished driving ten hours. I highly appreciate her concern and professionalism in making my stay a valued experience. She deserves a promotion.

Great location

If Mama Trice isn’t the definition of Southern hospitality, I don’t know what is.
Our stay at the Marriott Chattanooga Downtown was wonderful, but the real reason we keep coming back is Mama Trice. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with the warmest, most genuine welcome you could imagine. What truly stood out is that she remembered us from a year ago. Not just a vague recognition, but a real, heartfelt “I remember you” that made us feel valued and at home instantly.
Her attitude is simply unmatched. She carries herself with such kindness, positivity, and joy that it sets the tone for the entire stay. You can tell she truly loves what she does and takes pride in making every guest feel special. It is not forced or scripted. It is natural, authentic, and full of heart.
Mama Trice goes above and beyond in every interaction. Whether it is a quick greeting, helping with a request, or just sharing a smile and a kind word, she makes you feel like you are more than just a guest. You feel like family. That kind of service is rare, and it is something you never forget.
Her energy is contagious. She brings warmth into the space, and you can see how it lifts not only the guests but everyone around her. It is the kind of presence that turns a good hotel stay into a memorable experience.
We have stayed at many hotels, but Mama Trice is the reason we choose this one. Her excellent attitude, her genuine care, and her unforgettable Southern charm make all the difference. She represents Southern hospitality at its absolute finest, and the Marriott Chattanooga Downtown is lucky to have her.
We will keep coming back, and it is because of her.

The breakfast was incredible. 3 egg omelet made to order with breakfast potatoes was delicious and more than I could eat. Service was fantastic! My server Jocelyn was sweet and charming.

Excellent service and accommodations.

Especially at the breakfast restaurant a young lady named Jocelyn was very friendly and hospitable.

We stayed here for a dance competition, and had a great time! The food, staff and room were great. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The valet guys are the best too! Demetrious!

Just wrapped up our conference and was blown away with the staff’s enthusiasm, friendliness and outstanding service. The food was better than any conference center we’ve had. I’m still thinking about that smoked brisket! The hotel and meeting space are beautiful. Thank you Jessica, Emma, Charles, Jerson, Lanisha, Nikki, Millisha, Marcquise, Derotis, Mama Trice and Chef for making our event so successful! We will be back!!
