Best Western Mystic Hotel

Room floors sticky, musty smelling, damp bedding, thin very firm mattress. 2nd floor rooms were all booked. Was a minimum of at least 30 1st floor rooms so the hotel must know about this issue. Manager seemed to know about the issue and showed me at least 5 other 1st floor rooms all had some degree of dampness , it was late. We just dealt with it. Of you appreciate a firm mattress and If you stay here make sure you get a 2nd floor room. The Ft desk James that evening was great in trying to help. And the room itself was very clean and surprisingly no visible mold. Very unfortunate I was liking the more recent reviews that were on the rise. They must of come from folks on the 2nd floor units where it is obviously the 1st rooms they book.

The staff goes above and beyond to be helpful. Each person I encountered was happy to help, was friendly and genuinely wanted to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. The rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable.

The location was great, most attractions were under a 10 minute car ride. The room was clean and a good size.

My family stayed here for one night. I was hesitant when I had read some of the reviews, but please don't listen to them! Our rooms were fantastic; we had adjoining rooms as we were a family group. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The water pressure in the shower was the best I've had in a hotel. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful and advised us of activities in the area during our stay. Free coffee and tea in the lobby and the breakfast offerings were nice as well. The location is perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the local attractions and is literally right off of 95.

In my opinion all the hotels in this class are similar in appearance. What sets one apart from the other is service and the BW Mystic gets 5 stars because of Jay. I called the night before with questions about my dog and early/late check in. He pleasantly answered all my questions and said he would be there to greet me on check in. I got there an hour early. I asked if he could put flowers that I purchased in my room for my girlfriend. I did not have a vase, he took the flowers, cut the stems and delivered them in a nice vase. Jay is why I would highly recommend this hotel and go back myself.

The accessible room was large and easy to walk around. It was very clean and the king sized bed was very comfortable. The heater made the room very warm and was easy to use. Our only issues were with the bathroom. Had we not bought a non slip tub mat, the tub was slippery. The included breakfast was adequate, although the breakfast area was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was old and had kind of been remodeled. The room window didn't lock, ground floor, it was noisy, noise above, hallway noise. The breakfast was nice, the staff was nice. It was clean.

Clean room, helpful staff. We had an issue with our TV and they tried their best to help.
