it was okay, the staff was rude! Housekeeping comes around 2 pm if they come, so no bother having them come for the day! The pool was cold. Day of checked out it was 10:25am, we went down to put our luggage in the car and come back up not even 5 minutes ands the house keeper was in our room, that we never checked out of, clean and throwing away stuff! We came back up to our room at 10:30am to grab the rest of our stuff, we had water in the fridge because we were going to take cold water with us but they threw it away, we came back to our room with the fridge opened,sheets off the bed, and we wanted to enjoy 10 more minutes of our honeymoon but couldn’t because the housekeeper was in our room cleaning up and getting ready for the next people! keep in mind we never checked out of the room it was still 10:40! The manager is rude and didn’t do anything to help but make a scene and other guests upset because they do not know how to handle things! they touch our waters and put the in trash, but the say they put them on a cart in hallway! either way our waters were exposed to people without us knowing, kind of unsanitary! never staying here again!!

“I stayed 4 nights at Coastal Hotel & Suites Virginia Beach – Oceanfront (Sept 14–18). Breakfast was great every morning, the rooms were clean, parking on the 3rd level was very close to my 3rd‑floor room, and the beach was awesome. I would definitely stay again.”

The pillows were very big & fluffy..but asked staff for flatter pillow..they were great
Parking deck was on same floor of stay, it was quiet, I liked the 2 bedroom concept, location, and the Oceanview
There is a policy of no smoking on the balcony and within minutes of me sitting on my balcony, another patron began smoking. I spoke with the front desk staff who stated that they would handle it. Customer service rating is a 5 out 10. No smiles, no friendly welcome, just flat affect. The front desk person that i spoke with regarding the patron smoking on the balcony, made no eye contact at all, did not apologize, and just stated that the maintenance person would take care of it.

The woman at the front desk tried to scam us out of an extra $30 by telling us that our room wasn’t ready but if it was ready by 3 and we wanted to check in an hour early, we would be charged an extra $30. Needless to say, we checked in early but didn’t have to pay the extra $30.

It’s just a peaceful place to stay. The rooms are nice, comfortable beds, amazing breakfast, and friendly staff. We’ve stayed 3 years in a row and always felt comfortable and welcome.
