The beds were comfortable, the room was clean.

Clean, fresh smell every time you walk in. We constantly saw employees cleaning which makes it more comfortable since it is dog friendly. The access to the pool/game room being close to each other, the bar at pool side & the drinks were reasonably priced, our balcony over the pool area was a plus - enjoyed the DJ from our balcony. Was not loud when you closed your balcony door. The tv in our room was a 50 inch, hung on the wall...not a little 32 inch. The private little bay area was nice for water activities or for dogs to enjoy a swim.
The Manager at the pool bar stood out to us, he was outgoing and helpful. We ran into a minor situation and he handled it promptly and professionally.
It was a nice atmosphere for all ages, families and couples; young or older.

The location was great. Right between the bay and the ocean. The room was spacious and the balcony was a plus. The bed was comfortable.

Loved the location, the pools and the pool bar too! Room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly.
Also, we got the free boat taxi to and from Seacrets. That was so much more fun than walking, and quicker too!

I have stayed at this property almost every summer for the exception of 2020.
Location is great.
Front desk staff friendly but in busy summer months, I feel check in should be an easier transition and long lines avoided. Regardless whether you check in on the APP or not, I still needed to see the front reception stand.
Housekeeping is NON EXISTENT! I asked for garbage pickup and fresh towels for showers and had to call repeatedly. Finally my husband retrieved towels from a housekeeping cart at 5pm parked by their closet.
The hallway was dirty and dimly lit along with a disgusting foul odor.
The bathroom in our room had a toilet paper holder hanging from the wall and signs of a black material on the grout.
I understand this is a dog friendly hotel but I feel rooms should be set aside for the guests with pets. I have seen animal waste on the elevator that was reported to the front desk but the odor was horrendous.
I cannot believe the decline in this "Marriott" property considering most have higher standards.
I am sure there will be a response to this review from " hotel management " stating my concerns will be reported to their Housekeeping team but unfortunately I feel nothing will change .

Got married and decided to come to OC Md for a few days. Decided to give this hotel a shot.

Location and appearance good. Parking horrible. Hotel had know one enforcing guests verses outsiders. Lucky you got a spot. The lobby was always loud and crazy. Don’t arrive at night only one person to assist at the desk. Second floor where I stayed hall carpet was dirty with spots everywhere. Walls dirty. My room was clean but we smelled a little urine in the bathroom and near the door. Which let me know a dog had been in this room. Some scents you can’t rid of. The water pressure was very low and you had to flush the toilet twice to get the toilet paper to flush. My AC unit a little noisy.

I was aware dogs were allowed but Upon my arrival to my floor dogs were barking ridiculously. Had to contact management. My experience with other hotels permitting dogs is if you don’t bring a pet you are placed on a different floor. Nothing in your amenities advise all guest regardless if you have a dog or not you will be on any floor. That’s the standard here.

Your front desk was friendly however never ever sharing your amenities if you did not ask you did not know. Parking rate was too high.
A lot of outsiders come and go to this hotel for the bar and pool. Safety issue. Pool tags provided for guest to make sure you are staying at the hotel to enter pool area. Need to consider after 10 pm scan key card to come into building and elevator. There is a lot kids staying there again safety should be a priority! Food offered not sure what to say about it. Bought it once. Not good. XYZ bar not sure of its purpose was close early all the time.

I mentioned to the staff I was a newlywed thought maybe they would offer something complimentary, nope not a thing.

So I will say the best experience for me was the view from my room, was amazing.

I will not stay at the Aloft again. Not my cup of tea. Does not represent what I expect or want to experience at a hotel.

And I thing this should be an adult only hotel at this city/state
