verry good
have stade meny times
Checked in a the main hotel, friendly staff and explained everything. The room was clean with a nice big bathroom and decent fan
The bed was very soft! Every time one of us moved it moved the other!
Breakfast at the Best Western across the road was fantastic, no facilities where we were staying, room was clean but small, would not have liked to spend more than 1 night there, no view apart from Best Western Hotel, bed was comfy, we had a fan in the room which was good.
There could be air conditioning in the rooms, unbearable stifling even with fan on and windows open. Seagulls are a big problem, I know this can not be helped but they are so noisy,
I've stayed here a few times now over the last couple of years and , because of my disability, occasionally have to request certain things. The staff , including the cleaners, go above and beyond the call of duty and are multi talented especially the lovely Lisa (who if isn't management or supervisory staff should be) . Reasonable prices for food and drink and being right on the seafront has amazing views from the terrace with plenty of seating.
So, The Lodge room 2 that mattress is very uncomfortable and needs upgrading or getting rid of. It's a shame that the Lodge looks a bit forlorn from the outside now with the ripped canopy above the main door needing replacing. Also, unfortunately during peak periods parking is a nightmare with only one disabled space (it is signed to say that spaces are limited) and some idiots parking too close to you or where they want. It's not always like this but when people just turn up for tea or coffee or lunch if you're a resident there and pop out you've lost your space by the time you get back.
The only other little quirk is that the Full English Breakfast only has 1 bacon, 1 sausage, 1 hash brown and NO MUSHROOMS (unless you pay extra) but you do get beans ,fried egg, half grilled tomato and toast too
Good
5' bed
Location was great for where we was heading out for our event
The mattress was like sleeping on waterbed very uncomfortable and the room was very very hot even with little fan on and breakfast wasn't great the bacon was over cooked and burnt and sausage didn't taste very nice and beans were cold and my toast had no butter for how much it was it wasn't worth it and you can get better breakfast in spoons or somewhere else
Bathroom suite was very nice, best part.
Room looked a bit drab, could do with a lick of paint to brighten it up.
Toilet door lock needs repairing. Was more like a hostel than a hotel
Everything
Nothing
Clean room .plenty of cupboard space . Large bathroom
Television didn't work but didn't need it
