Nothing at all was very very poor asked for not a ground floor and was given a ground floor after a long 6 hour drive manager then spoke to me like dirt told me to change my attitude and to deal with it yes this was a manager . Kept out rill 3 pm cause house keeping hadn't finished yet when we went in dirt on bed and a number of ling hairs bed very uncomfortable extremely noisy as right by KFC tv screen cracked and lines going through it both vertical and horizontal. Lied to by manager not just to me but to my auntie and mum aswell saying he would issue a refund if we went through booking com then next day SURPRISE SURPRUSE HIS DAY OFF and he told his staff not to give us a refund . Also when i asked for a small amount of soya milk due to allergies his ATTITIDE WAS WELL YOU CAN GO AND BUY IT . The manager was appaling never wver go to this hotel if you want comfortable bed and a decent night sleep I would not recommend this hotel at all however there is a fab hotel up the road call THE VICTORIA HOTEL THIS IS A MILLION % better

We waren met familie met 20 personen uit Nederland voor een reünie met een dagprogramma die om 15.30 begon. De kamers waren gereed, maar er werd geweigerd ons iets eerder te laten inchecken. We komen al jaren met hele familie daar, dus hoop je op een beetje meedenken, maar zo stug. Uiteindelijk konden we om 15.20 inchecken, maar s ochtend wel om 10.45 op de deur kloppen voor de schoonmaak, erg teleurstellend.
Maakt dat wij volgend jaar met 20 gasten een andere locatie zoeken

Het personeel was verschrikkelijk. Totaal niet vriendelijk, niks was mogelijk. Kunnen beter niet in de hotellerie werken

We stayed in the lodge building, and while the exterior appears modern, the rooms themselves feel quite dated. Although the room was clean, it was noticeably tired: the carpet was stained, the furniture old-fashioned, and the bathroom door had visible filler where holes had been patched. It also didn’t close properly. We couldn’t fully open the front door either because the wardrobe had been positioned too close to it.The biggest issue, however, was the mattresses. I don’t mind firm beds, but these were extremely hard neither of us slept well.Overall, I don’t think I would recommend it.

Unfortunately the hotel and especially the lodge are looking tired, curtains not closing properly, and rooms need a spruce up.
I don't think the cooked breakfast is good value for money anymore. The scrambled egg was inedible.

Bathroom extractor fan very dirty and didn't work. Being right on pavement with public walking past tge window

Bed springs dug in at some points on bed. Floorboards creaked quite a bit

No hot water from bathroom tap, and leak from taps

Beds were not comfortable mattresses were hard (personal preference), no mini fridge in the room being a family room I’d have expected something to keep kids snacks and baby milk cool. Have to fill kettle with a cup as cannot fit under the tap, no main light only lamps, keycard entry to building and room however felt if the door wasn’t closed properly behind then anyone could walk in. Room didn’t have a lock from inside didn’t find this ideal with small children personally. Bathroom door had a hole in it, limescale build up in the shower on the door tracks, patched wall near window not repainted furniture worn and dated. Large shower space, however door was narrow. Carpets had stains on them. Reception staff not very hospitable. Pictures do not reflect the condition of the rooms. For the price paid and reputation of the chain I’d have expected a better experience

It was dirty, felt unsafe the windows didn’t close probably which when you’re on the ground floor does not feel safe at all. I stayed with just my daughter so as you can imagine not having windows close properly is very unsettling. My door to the room was opening outside instead of into the room which again felt unsafe as there wasn’t even an extra lock to lock it inside.

The Staff stopped us refilling water bottle when checking out which was surprising but no big deal. Rest of hospitality was amazing and nice staff

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Hatfield Lodge. The room was not as advertised in the photos online and fell far below the standard I expected.
The carpets were dirty, there was mould in both the bathroom and on the bedroom walls, and the shower was in a very poor and unhygienic condition. The bedroom window was also missing a handle, which was concerning and added to the poor overall condition of the room.
I raised these issues with Booking.com, but unfortunately the hotel has denied the problems despite my complaint. Paying nearly £90 for a room in this condition was unacceptable, and I would not recommend staying here. I expected a clean, safe and hygienic room, but that was not what I received.

If you plan to stay here you better hope there’s not a fire as all fire doors were propped open!
