Hell at Hawthorne

I like that they had a pool. And now my room is affordable. During the week until it wasn't on the weekends. It had nearly doubled.

Cons:

I didn't like that. I was completely disrespected by hotel staff. There are multiple things in my room. Did not work and requesting maintenance on three different occasions went completely ignored.Now, to mention, I had to change my room.Three different times during a two week stay. Staff was completely disrespectful rude, and this is the last place I would ever recommend.Due to it was very unhospitable. They could care less about your needs. Wants or what you pay for and they have attitude problems from hell as well. I wouldn't stay here if it was free.

My favorite place to stay in Erie!
Pros:

Breakfast was great! Whirlpool in room was wonderful! Room was comfortable and very clean as always. My favorite place to stay in Erie! Sauna was fixed finally but didn't get a chance to use it- next time!

Cons:

Hot tub was definitely foamy from chemicals, but nice anyway.

Pros:

Lynne checked us in upon arrival and she was so accommodating to our requests to have two rooms near each other. She went above and beyond. We checked out with Sasha, who was very pleasant and accommodating by getting our statements and credit card info straightened out. Breakfast was well maintained and kept tidy. We always enjoy our stay at Hawthorne.

Cons:

Beds are a lil hard, and you can tell they get a lot of usage.

We would not stay here again.
Pros:

We did not eat breakfast there. Staff was friendly and tried to help.

Cons:

Our rooms weren't ready at 4:00 check in time. It was an hour later. we asked to be close together. we were put on separate floors. One of the fireplaces didnt work. couldnt figure the heat out. Our room was very cold. There was no ice on the 1st floor. And i do believe i booked rooms with king size beds and we only had queen size. very uncomfortable.

There was mold on our bedroom wall where the window is obviously from long term leaking and the bathrooms were not very clean!

Would choose this property again if we ever come to Splash Lagoon.
