This Hotel has a fabulous location, however it is very shabby and dated. Stains on table linen with dated and very worn furniture.
The bar closes at 11pm which is early compared with any other hotel we have stayed in. The bar staff started clearing away furniture etc. around 10.40pm, making it very clear they were closing early, not what paying guests expect! There was no staff in the breakfast room despite signs stating they'd be on hand to prepare hot drinks requests and the food on offer ordinary. We were only booked for one night, had our booking have been longer, I honestly would have changed hotels. The decor and furnishings are stuck in the 70s, cleanliness is questionable and some staff either rude or none existent.
The location is right beside the tower.
Furnishings and decor shabby and very dated. Stained linen and mediocre breakfast. Bar closes at 23.00hrs. Hole at the side of shower and broken tiles on ceiling.

Here at the moment. The views from the rooftop restaurant are spectacular. The service from the rooftop bar is extremely slow ive been waiting now for over 20mins for a drink! And dont bother asking for a serviette as you wont get one.The staff are polite and helpful. The rooms are tired and seen better days and the curtain was stained. Our bathroom door doesnt close properly and the only bin in the room is in the bathroom. Raised flooring near the bathroom door also. You have a kettle in your room but no proper cups, teabags, coffee,milk or sugar are provided. No point of having a kettle really. We had to resort to buying our own coffee, teabags, milk and sugar Dirty cups, teapot and tray left in our room after housekeeping had been. The safe cant handle more than a 3 number password. Breakfast was awful the scrambled egg looked off, no egg cups provided for the hard boiled eggs. Save yourself alot of time and eat out!!! There were tables of dirty plates when we arrived for breakfast and only 1 member of staff on duty. All the pastries are covered in caster sugar which ruins them really. I did ask for a room extension but was told they were fully booked even with at least 14 keys hung up on room numbers in the reception. Had to waste 4 hours sat in the Piano Bar where no one plays the piano and the bar doesnt look like its been open for years!! Filthy chandeliers in the Piano Room also. All in all its a great location for a short city break of 3 days any longer than that find a more upmarket hotel. This is a 2 star at most. Definately not the 4 star it says it is.

The location is fantastic, 1 minutes walk to the tower which we could see from our room, lots of restaurants in the street outside the hotel. Room very comfortable with large bed.
There is nothing I didn't like about the hotel!
