Mooi hotel in een historisch pand. De locatie is perfect ten opzichte van het centrum, alles op loopafstand. Goede bedden. Wij hadden een balkonnetje waar we lekker op konden zitten. Ontbijt was prima. Voldoende parkeerplaatsen in de kelder (tegen betaling)
Iets verouderd en aan een opknapbeurt toe.
Het personeel bij het ontbijt was wat ongeïnteresseerd.
Easy to walk everywhere, decent breakfast
Dated and needs some TLC (musty smell, old vinyl flooring, etc), if you are on the first floor you have to use stairs and carry your luggage, mattresses are due for an upgrade, shower not great, and a few practical things could be improved: only a single bin in the bathroom, toast is pre-toasted served (no toaster available)...
Will just be nice when the view out of our windows is NOT cranes!! But that is allowing growth and city improvements!
It was clean, not too far from the centre and staff were friendly
As an older property no sound insulation so noise from guests and plumbing , and cleaning staff began quite early and were noisy. Also we were not warned in advance of booking that there was construction site across the road - a notice was in the room which linked to a QR code that told us nothing about the noise and hours of work . In the end it wasn’t too bad as it was Canada day they weren’t working for that day and maybe the one after .
Breakfast was the same every day - some healthier cooked food would have been nice and some warm toast or diy toast
Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and a cozy sunny room to enjoy it.
The hotel was close to a lot of sites and easy to walk.
Posizione buona, stanza grande e letti comodi.
Very good location, nice rooms (we chose a comfortable apartment which had lots of space), and we really appreciated the LGBT+ friendly signs.
We liked the hotel itself a lot and I wish we could say the same thing about staff. However, as vegans we asked for breakfast to include any modest, simple plant-based options. We kindly asked the hotel months ahead of our stay, then reminded them weeks ahead and a few days ahead. Each time we received passive aggressive messages, they refused to answer our questions about the buffet and tried to force us into upgrading breakfast to their other venue where they had unattractive options not worth the additional price. We had also already paid for breakfast and did not want to be discriminated and forced to pay for the same thing twice just because we’re vegan. When we arrived, the staff didn’t even make the effort to check the ingredients list of their own bread, although we asked. They did offer some plant milk, but its hard to call that breakfast. We had to ask for the plant milk every day all over again and every time they behaved as if it were a huge favour, while their tone and expression was full of contempt. I think this says something about the staff and even if you’re not vegan, you can probably expect this type of treatment. We did notice staff weren’t nice to others either, but for us they went out of their way to be mean
