Pros:

We went with the intention of having a good weekend, and we had to travel with two cars. Upon our arrival, they told us we had to pay $45 per car for parking at a hotel that was not cheap at all. We ended up having to look for another hotel at 9:30 PM with a small child in the car. It is a complete outrage! Put your parking fee on the first page and advertise the $45 price.

my credit card has been charged for 2 waters, although i only had one and immediately paid for it at the reception.

The lobby was welcoming and faced the bay. Spa water was readily available and replenished often.

Cons:

Our biggest disappointment was the upkeep (or lack thereof) of the pool area. Towels and dirty plates/cups were never picked up. Poolside service was not available while we were there at 4pm. The pool itself was cloudy and bottom needed serious cleaning.

Probably the worst pool I’ve seen at a Marriott brand. When we mentioned our concerns to the front desk, we just got an apology and a confirmation that they’ll send someone to clean it. Very impersonal. Not that we expected it, but an offer of a complimentary drink or appetizer for the lack of poolside service would have shown true customer service and satisfaction.

Also, the sofa bed was broken.

un peu loin du centre ville et il est regretable qu'il n'y ai pas de dervice "valet" a notre arrivée pour le check in surtout quand on arrive avec beucoup de bagages , c'est a nous de prendre les chariots , debarasser les voitures , les charger sur le trolley et les emmener a l'etage ..idem quand on quitte ...dommage

Staff was great and lobby looks nice when you walk in. Also enjoyed the complimentary lemon and hibiscus water.

Cons:

Rooms were old, dingy, and not very clean. Carpet needs to go... our allergies were going crazy. Furniture is old and dirty as well. Shower looks like a disaster. For this quality, price should have been cheap. Instead, they are charging premium prices for a old rundown rooms.

This is a convenient if somewhat boring choice for UCI families.
Pros:

Convenient to UCI
View of lovely bay is essential. Don’t get a room that looks at cars in the parking lot. Bonvoy members should be able to request an upgrade at no charge
