It was fine, very average
Pros:

Second floor - it was nice to have an elevator. Easy to find. Close to everything in Traverse city. Breakfast was good

Cons:

The body was container - in the shower only - was empty. All their little squeeze bottles were hard to work. No soap at all for the sink

The rooms were good sized and clean

Cons:

The pool and hot tub wasn’t working which was disappointing as we have kids who wanted to swim. Breakfast was also missing a few items that could have made it nicer like brown sugar for the oatmeal, and real silverware.

It was ok.
Pros:

Good location. Good breakfast. Very close to a grocery store and downtown.

Cons:

Staff was not at all apologetic when they informed us that the pool and hot tub were closed due to a leak. Also, we were disappointed that there was not a smart T.V. So we couldn’t watch a specific movie together. The hallway leading to our room had old rather ugly carpet. For the high price we were expecting nicer.

Pleasant staff, clean room, high price was not appropriate for the level of hotel.
Pros:

Good location. Cookies at night. Decent breakfast.

Cons:

The room was very humid when we arrived. They were prompt to come look at the heating/cooling controls and change the batteries. Unfortunately, once it was functioning using the controls, it never pulled the humidity out of the air.

Adequate stay
Pros:

Staff was very kind. Bed was comfortable.

Cons:

This was a very basic and outdated hotel. I was disappointed that the light and fan were connected in the bathroom, which meant the loud fan HAD to be on when the lights were on in the bathroom.

Disappointed
Pros:

The stay was fine, but due to the heavy smoke from the forest fires in Canada, we could not do any outside activities
We were very disappointed that Booking . com did not allow us to use a voucher for our planned stay in Mackinac City. The smoke was much worse there and we were traveling with a child who had asthma. In the future we will look into another booking agency who is more understanding for their customers.
