Perfect location, would likely return
Pros:

Super friendly staff including very positive reception of my room issues

Cons:

Room issues needed to be reported: Climate control system made "dripping" sounds all night; tiny gnats in the room; faucet handle was VERY stiff

I booked two rooms: one room with two queen beds for a family of four, and another room with a king bed for two adults.

When we checked in, the hotel was oversold and they did not have the two-queen-bed room that I had reserved and paid for. Instead, they gave us a room with one king bed and a sofa bed.

The staff was not helpful or understanding. They repeatedly told me this was an “upgrade,” but I never requested an upgrade. I don’t consider replacing two proper queen beds with a king bed and sofa bed an upgrade, especially when the room I specifically booked was unavailable.

I was also charged for the two-queen-bed room even though I did not receive the room I paid for. We ultimately had to book another room at a different hotel at the last minute, which was extremely inconvenient for our family.

There was very little empathy or effort to resolve the situation. This was a very disappointing experience, and I honestly did not expect this level of service from a Marriott-branded hotel.

This was a last minute reservation, so I was pleasantly surprised at this facility.
Pros:

The location was excellent due to the availability of nearby stores, restaurants etc..

Cons:

I was not happy to pay a parking fee.

Make your trip to Alexandria memorable by staying at Fairfield Inn and Suites.
Pros:

The staff was warm and welcoming, the desk lady was awesome.Too bad that I forgot her name but she speaks french as well.The breakfast was excellent.Kudos!!!

The stay was great and the manager was very nice to me. The manager didnt mind opening the door to the stairs for me.
Pros:

It was clean and a good location to shop! The breakfast was good. My room was clean and I love the bathroom. The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

I didn’t like that the stairs were outside and the manager had to unlock door to the stairs.
