As it was my first time in Madrid, the location was perfect! Minutes walk to Salamanca, and lots of fantastic bakeries round the corner. The staff were super helpful and the room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Given we travelled in one of the hottest summers, the air-con was fantastic and was a life saviour!
Great location near two metro stations. Comfortable bed, quiet room. Most hotels of this standard provide a bottle of water in the room but only available through the mini bar in this hotel. The breakfast room is a bit disappointing. Reasonable selection but the layout seems a bit chaotic, especially when it's busy. The snack bar has a good selection at reasonable prices. The waiter/waitress works very hard though, covering the bar, food and room service. That can lead to a long wait. Would be useful if another staff member could step in to help out at busy times.

Next door had a very concerning domestic disturbance on the mornong of our departure.

It would have been even better if there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Excelente ubicación, a unos 15 minutos caminando a Gran Via y al barrio Salamanca, bastante equidistante de ambos lugares.
Tiene un estacionamiento chico, para unos 6 autos, por lo que se puede arrendar en caso de salir de Madrid. La pieza estaba impecable todos los días, buen baño, buena ducha, cama cómoda.
Sin duda volvería.
Las almohadas no muy cómodas, sugiero tener 1 alta que tenían y otra baja, para los diferentes gustos. La cama crujía al bajarnos de ella. Me imagino que ambas cosas de fácil solución. Falta una cafetera en la habitación, tenía minibar.
La ubicación es fantástica, como para ir caminando a muchos puntos de la ciudad y a pocos metros de una entrada al metro que te permite estar en el aeropuerto en media hora. Pese a estar tan central, es una calle muy tranquila y no hay ruido (se agradece esa "pausa" en Madrid)
Le hace falta mantención... los muebles y las instalaciones son muy antiguas: el aire acondicionado hacia mucho ruido ¡¡aunque estaba apagado!!

No warnings about the hotel and more specifically the floor we were in being under renovation.
Superb location, near the subway and in walking distance from major sites, attractions and plenty urban diversity.
Good facilities, accessible and front door parking (for luggage transfer).
Breakfast room in basement.
