The smell was so fresh and clean. Just about all the staff all around we're so nice and friendly, especially at the front desk

I had absolutely a great experience with Doubletree Hilton - El Segundo/LAX. The hotel is conveniently situated by LAX, a walking distance to various stores. The highlight of my stay was the kind and superb hospitality of the hotel staff. I’d like to especially mention Africa I., who was beyond gracious and helpful when my flight was cancelled. She went above and beyond to assist me.
It’s truly rare to experience such standards of excellence in hospitality now days. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a great short stay by LAX.
I stay in many Double Tree hotels an a Honors member. My favorite is the Tucson Convention Center. The hotel here in El Segundo is marginal at best. It’s dated.
There’s a Hilton Garden Inn nearby that I’ll try next time.
Staff seemed to lose their stride and good customer service. I checked out early and never received a receipt until I had to call 4 times asking for it. Multiple times I talked with front desk staff they had attitude, Eboni and Jessica were nice until they weren’t. They had so much attitude after each time I called asking for my receipt. You could hear their exhaustion with me. Didn’t even say hello or greeting they do when they pick up the phone. It was uncanny. I understand people go through a lot but the attitude was unwarranted. I was always nice and grateful for their help, until the attitudes came about. I am giving back this rating because of those two employees. They were fake and could not keep it professional, bad customer service, their attitude changed each time I called, maybe they have caller ID, that would explain the greeting when they picked up went away. I work in customer service and I always keep it professional, very disappointing, it’s part of the job, fixing the issue and making it right. It felt like they were trying to charge me for days after I checked out. If they didn’t give me attitude I wouldn’t have felt this way. Last person who I talked with for the 4th time calling, was professional told me the “system was down” and they would call me back and send my receipt to me. The last person called back very shortly and send me the correct receipt. Usually you get a receipt as soon as you check out. The whole thing was very bizarre. The receipt I was sent the first time, 2nd phone call was the wrong date, even though I explained when I checked out. Eboni and Jessica need to do better. It was my second time staying at this hotel, makes me never want to go back there, the hotel was beautiful and clean and the rest of the staff did a good job.

⭐ 0/10 – Absolutely NOT Recommended, Especially for Tourists
My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. It became very clear that this hotel and its staff only care about money and not about the well-being or concerns of their guests.
If you ever face an emergency and need to leave the hotel early, be prepared to lose all your money. They show absolutely no compassion or understanding regardless of the situation — even if it involves a family emergency or the death of a loved one. There is no flexibility, no empathy, and no human understanding at all.
The staff acts cold and robotic, as if guests are only numbers and sources of income. For a hotel associated with the Hilton brand, this level of treatment is unacceptable.
Tourists should also be very careful, especially if you do not speak English fluently. Even when they have employees who speak your language, they often prefer to ignore you and claim they cannot help, which makes the experience even more frustrating and disrespectful.
Overall, the hotel lacks professionalism, customer care, and basic human decency. I would never stay here again and I absolutely do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, especially tourists visiting the area.
