Best Western Dulles Airport Inn

Booking this property was a huge mistake. We paid more than $200 for a single room, expecting a reasonably good hotel based on its price and the fact that Booking.com lists it as a 3-star property. What we found was completely different.

When we arrived, we were shocked to discover that the property felt much more like a motel than a 3-star hotel. We asked a staff member named Melinda about the property, and she insisted that it was a hotel and that the rooms were clean.

Unfortunately, once we checked in, the condition of the room was unacceptable. The sheets were dirty, smelled bad, and appeared to be in poor condition. The room was also extremely small. Based on the size, cleanliness, and overall condition, we could not understand how this room could justify a price of more than $200. In our opinion, it did not feel worth even $50.

When I went to the front desk to complain, Melinda was rude and unhelpful. She refused to give us a refund and instead offered to reduce the price by only $50. That did not solve the problem.

Because we had friends with us, I was forced to leave them there while I personally went out at around 1:00 a.m. to find another hotel. I ended up paying approximately $300 for another room just so I could have a decent and acceptable place to stay.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I am particularly surprised that Booking.com categorizes this property as a 3-star hotel. Based on our actual experience, the property was nowhere near the standard we expected from a 3-star hotel.

I also find the large number of positive reviews difficult to reconcile with what we experienced, although I cannot verify how those reviews were generated.

Overall, I strongly regret booking this property. The price, room condition, cleanliness, customer service, and actual standard of the property were completely inconsistent with our expectations. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine 3-star hotel experience.

I honestly cannot understand why Booking.com lists this property as 3-star. Based on our experience, it was nowhere close to that standard. The price was completely unreasonable for what we received.

Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this property.
