I stayed here 2 nights for business and 2 with family. It was a great location and the check in lady was very pleasant and helpful. She also helped us resolve a billing issue at the end. Overall, I really liked it, but the convention center pricing is a bit shocking at first! And they add about a $50 fee to your stay that you may or may not take advantage of, with 2 glasses of wine and use of kayaks.. and a $24 credit on food, but when a buffet breakfast for your family will top $120, it doesn't go far! I think I used it a couple nights of the wine. Gimmicky things like that are irritating. The restaurant is fine.
However, the room was nice and clean with a lovely balcony view of the bay. Housekeeping came 3/4 days, we were short on towels one day but I called and they promptly brought more. This was a great location close to Gaslamp and the marina, so fun stuff within walking distance! There was a concert one night at the nearby venue, and I could definitely hear it from my room, but it didn't seem to run too late, or else I was jet-lagged and didn't mind! The pool and gym were really lovely and nice, although the pool was crowded on the weekend as we were warned.
The windows are nothing close to being sound proof. You can hear the pool and they have loud events with music and over clocked bass that goes till 10 PM. The tv contract doesn’t allow you to watch ABC or ESPN so you can’t watch either the NHL or NBA playoffs. You just sit in your room and listen to the bad music from the event below. And yet we get a message that they will replace the TV. This is the height of stupidity. It’s not the TV, it’s their contract with DirecTV and the crappy windows. That’s what they need to replace. They are in a good location. They couldn’t screw that up. Otherwise, if you’re attending a conference in San Diego, you’re probably better off at the Hilton or Hyatt. And the last thing I was told when I complained was “have a nice evening.” These people are clueless.
The pool area is fantastic! Plus the balcony off the room made it more memorable.
It’s pretty pricey especially after you include the daily parking fees and daily mandatory resort fees.
Jay was so helpful at the Valet desk. He is very friendly and was able to assist us throughout our stay!
Convenient location, exceptionally friendly staff
Omar and Patrick were remarkable. Very professional and anticipated my needs.
Omar and Patrick were great they gave a good experience. And it was very easy getting my valet under control with them.
Nice place
We just got back from an absolutely incredible weekend at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, and I cannot say enough good things about this place! The location is perfect—right in downtown San Diego and close to absolutely everything.
We stayed on the 19th floor, and the views were breathtaking. Looking out at the bay and Coronado Island every day never got old. Everything about the hotel itself was top-notch, but what truly made this weekend unforgettable was the world-class service.
A massive shoutout to the manager, John Leal. He went completely above and beyond to make my 50th birthday special. When we checked into our room, we were surprised with an amazing birthday treat and balloons! It was such a thoughtful, classy touch that started our celebration off perfectly. Starting this next chapter of life at a place that treats you like royalty was exactly what I needed.
The amenities were also fantastic. The pool area was a blast for the kids, and they loved it. Plus, having the pool bar and a live DJ playing created such a fun, high-energy, and relaxing vibe for the adults.
If you are looking for an amazing place to stay in San Diego with spectacular views, great energy, and staff that truly care about their guests, this is it. Thank you, John Leal, and the entire Marriott Marquis team for making my milestone weekend so special! We will definitely be back.
Konumu, ferahlık ve temizlik
Genel anlamda beğenmedim herşey güzeldi
Nothing!!!
From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by the rudest staff. After a 6-hour journey, you are met by the rudest person imaginable, acting as if you don't know why you're there. They don't even offer you water; you're told to buy it yourself at the market. In the morning, despite a "do not disturb" sign, housekeeping knocked on our door repeatedly and finally came in to ask when we would be leaving. This was a very interesting experience for us. I absolutely do not recommend it and will never stay at a Mariott hotel again.
Property is clean . Access at the seaport where you can walk/run.
