Breakfeast could be improved
Getting to the hotel by taxi is difficult because of the construction.
It would be useful for buisiness cubicles with a door and no music. Cannot work in lobby with music.

Our stay at the "Generator" Hotel in Washington DC (7/2/26 - 7/5/2026) was the worst experience we have had with a hotel in our traveling years. The hotel did not have glasses or cups in the room (I take heart medication) and there were no cups, glasses or plastic cups in the room. There was no ice machine. There was no coffee maker. The handicap accessible bathroom (I'm handicapped) was not properly constructed. There was only one bar next to the toilet, it was behind the toilet (used to hang towels) and therefore did not function to assist me in sitting or standing from the toilet. There was only one elevator functioning and the elevator that was functioning was not functioning properly. When the elevator door opened it was only for approximately 5 seconds. I use an electric scooter for mobility and the door would close on me if someone was not in the elevator to push the button to hold the door open. Using your hand to hold the door did not work, the door would continue to close unless you pushed the "door open" button. The paintings on the wall in the room depicted demonic figures. Please give this hotel a less than 1 star rating as anyone should be dissatisfied with this hotel. Thank you for your consideration.
The location
The AC didn’t work so that It was super hot in the room. The bed wasn’t a king it was 2 twins put together . The carpet was dirty my feet got super dirty just walking around . The tv was so old and not in working order .

One lift didn’t work for the entire time we were there so it took an age to get to our floor, and the air con would only cool the room to 26.5C when it was 36c outside, so you never truly got that cool feeling
Location.
The lobby smelled like patchouli. The hallways smell like weed. The toiletries consisted of a pump on the wall with soap. The soap smells comforting, was not irritating and made my skin soft. I had a comforter but no sheets. Lighting was dim. There was a refrigerator, an iron with ironing board and a TV that did not work. Also there was this weird art on the wall. I took a picture but before I did the bibles were turned upside down. I righted them shortly after looking around the room.
The location of the hotel is ideal. It is close to restaurants and to the embassy row which is the reason for our trip. We loved having a pool at our disposal.

The location
Let me preface by saying I live part time in hotels due to work. I have stayed overnight in hotels for 64 days this year. The staff at hotel rendale was the most unconcerned staff I have ever come across in my life. The young man that was working the front desk Friday night had such contempt and lack of concern for me after addressing my problems that I will never consider staying at the hotel again. I don’t have the vocabulary to describe the disappointment I had in my stay. The showers were disgusting, the air conditioning did not work in both rooms that I had. The only thing that prevented me from leaving the hotel the moment I spoke to the front desk receptionist was the fact that all other hotels were booked in the area. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Lack of outside parking, one elevator was down, refrigerator didn't work, the phone was not operational to report the refrigerator issue, and lack of seating in the room.
