I would rate the stay 7 out of 10.
Pros:

We enjoyed a light lunch and a well-presented breakfast the next morning. The manager, Mr Dexter De Luna, came to apologise for forgetting to prepare our room for my wife's birthday. The lunch we ordered was "on the house", which I thought was thoughtful and appreciated.

Cons:

The room wasn't prepared for my wife's 60th birthday, even though I reminded the hotel by email, and they acknowledged it.
