From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Breakfast is served at The Munch. For children from 6 years of age, breakfast is chargeable at RM 30.00 per child. Additional breakfast is chargeable at RM 50.00 per adult. All children 12 years and above considered as adult.

Please note that bookings are subject to a Heritage fee of MYR 5 per room, per night. This is payable directly to the hotel.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Disappointing, expected more of a 5 star property
Pros:

1. Aircon was cold. Made for a comfortable stay.
2. Room and toilets are clean enough, although can see signs of aging. But clean enough for us.
3. Buffet wasn't the best I've experienced but good enough spread.

Cons:

1. Requested baby cot, didn’t have one.
2. End up needed to pay for an extra bed which costs RM120 extra.
3. Receptionist doesn’t speak formally. Used a lot of “lahs” at the end of sentences. Normally not a big deal but if you’re going to rate the hotel as a five star property then at least have the staff act accordingly.
4. Shower head in the room didn’t work, had to call for maintenance to come fix it.
5. Shower curtain against the window has a lot of mold from being wet over a long time.
6. Can see things are outdated in the room. Phone, bathroom countertop, bedside table lamp, etc. It just all looks a bit seasoned.
7. Parking is just street parking, no parking facilities on site. But the receptionist told me “it’s free at least lah”.
8. Lifts have no security, no card scanning needed so really any person or stranger can access the room floors.
9. Far from town centre and all the tourist spots so if you’re looking to go see the sites, expect a minimum 30-40 minute drive.
10. At night, the area is really quiet and streets have limited and dim lighting so it can be dodgy driving around the property at night.
11. This isn’t a five star property even though it supposedly rates itself as one. This is 3-4 star at best.
12. Wouldn’t recommend friends and family. Better choices of hotels in town area.

Clean, nice and value for money
Pros:

Hotel was nice, presentable, breakfast buffet was good, all staff was polite and very engaged with patron.

Cons:

Our room was not clean when we went out even though the request for cleaning was engaged on the door and the cleaning staff was politely ask to clean. That was the most disappointing element during the stay.

Most likely a one time stay because of the event held at the hotel.
Pros:

The exterior was unassuming but once you’re inside, quite surprising. The room was nice, but even with the aircond on, it is hot during the day as it is a corner room. Too much direct sunlight.

Cons:

The food was disappointing be it the buffet food for the event or the breakfast buffet. A lot to improve.
