Relaxen am Strand
Pros:

Die komfortable Zimmerausstattung mit Blick aufs Meer sowie das ausgezeichnete Essen im Restaurant

Cons:

Eigentlich nichts außer vielleicht dass man die nassen badehandtücher an der Rezeption tauschen muss - etwas umständlich. Es wäre einfacher sie direkt im Zimmer am Boden zu werfen.

Pros:

Colazione ottima e posizione vicino alla spiaggia. Camera pulita e personale gentile.

Cons:

Dopo la doccia in stanza ristagna molto vapore. Materasso e cuscino da migliorare. Zona spa e piscine necessitano di manutenzione.

Was super confortable and the location is really perfect (in front of the beach Monte Verde),
Pros:

The breakfast was was really good and honestly too much food diversity :)

Cons:

I really didn´t like the towels, they could use conditioner during the washing. They were really dry and hard (but this is more a personal taste). However, I think they could think about it.
Also, in my opinion the price peer night is really too overpriced. Only people who can really afford can stay in Verde Mar Hotel.

Centrally located in the north coast of Saint Miguel island and the room is clean comfortable. A good base for exploring

Cons:

The onsite parking is great, but could be a bit challenging to find a spot late in the day during busy season. Fortunately there are also street parking right round the hotel.

Overall it was a pleasant stay, friendly staff, and nice pool and spa.
Pros:

Convenience, supermarket across the street, beach front views, breakfast buffet

During my stay there were two water bugs in my room.

Excellent option for Ribeira Grande
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location with great sea view very close to the beach. Walking distance to very good restaurants and a short taxi ride to more.
Rooms spacious, well maintained. Breakfast very good. Bar area comfortable. Some live music at the weekend.
Outdoor and indoor pool. We used the outdoor pool and it was great. Also walking distance to the beach. Close to Santa Barbara Beach as well (15 min walk).
Ribeira Grande is a great spot for seeing the main sights on the San Miguel island - everything within 45 min drive. Quieter than Ponta Delgada where we also stayed and enjoyed more of a city stop.

Cons:

A little bit pricy but we thought it was worth the extra for the modern facilities and wonderful sea view.
