It was perfectly appropriate for the onsite functioin I was attending
Pros:

The staff are amazing. Lovely, wonderful, friendly people who go above and beyond.

Cons:

The bed is way to soft for me. It was so squishy around the edges that it felt like when I laid on the edge I was going to roll off.

We'll probably be back!
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the breakfast was great, we had everything we needed and the staff was very friendly. We would have loved to enjoy the amazing pool area, but the weather and a sick toddler didn't allow it. But we heard reports that the water temperature was quite pleasant (in May).
Our 18-month-old enjoyed the play area at the pub and the food there was good too for dinner as well.

Cons:

The surcharge for the cot was a bit unnecessary. We ended up bringing our own as we travelled by car. But we never had to pay extra for a cot before, so that wasn't pleasant, but also not a big deal.

Pros:

Loved the internal access to the pub. Free drink each on arrival. Buffet breakfast included. Bed was extremely comfortable.

Cons:

No hand wash in the bathroom and the shower vent was very dirty. Otherwise was perfect.
