Hotel Gion Ichirin

This hotel feels very luxurious and high end, with large, comfortable beds and a very high quality shower. From the moment you walk in, you’re swept away into a comfortable oasis. I wish I could’ve stayed here longer to have one full day to relax in the hotel itself. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me during my stay, and I couldn’t be more thankful for their hospitality. The staff displayed exceptional professionalism. I highly recommend you enjoy the free drinks in the lounge in the afternoon and take advantage of the private spa while you stay. In a busy city like Kyoto, this hotel felt like the calm I needed.

The room was phenomenal along with the staff. Room was clean and stocked. Easily accessible in the city of Kyoto. Excited to return in the future.

Clean, beautiful boutique hotel, great location

Everything was perfect, the room size, the bathroom with a jacuzzi, the beauty products provided (lotion, cream, oil, etc...), and even a hair straightener :) The Lounge is super nice to chill after a day of walking, the sake provided free of charge was excellent, the staff super helpful

The hotel is in an excellent location, super close to Gion street but in a quite area.
It is convenient to go around central Kyoto.
The room was amazing, very spacious, with attention to detail, with great amenities that you feel really comfortable - like home.
The shared areas (lobby) are also of a great taste.
We used the private baths, which was a great experience.
Also, the people there were very kind, willing to help and make you feel nice.
Definitely recommend it. I already miss my stay there!

Il s'agissait du dernier hôtel de notre séjour et cela a permis de finir notre voyage de la meilleure manière. Très bon emplacement dans la ville, le quartier est calme et très agréable pour se balader de jour comme de nuit. L'hôtel est beau et il s'agit des plus grandes chambres que nous avons eu de tout notre séjour. Le prix peut paraitre élevé au vu des autres hôtels, mais cela en vaut le coup.

We loved Hotel Gion Ichirin! The historic details but modern touch made for a memorable stay. The fact that it was also in a prime location in the Gion area was fantastic. We appreciated being in close proximity to all the action but still able to find solace and quiet when needed. It is a quick walk to all the major shopping, food, and historic areas. The massage chair in our room was put to use daily! The staff were all so great and welcomed us! Highly recommend as your option in Kyoto.
