Won’t be back to this hotel but still enjoyed the stay

Lift broken and the other took forever and I can’t walk up stairs very well so very annoying.
Breakfast at restaurant was cold pancakes and cold eggs etc paid $25 and couldn’t eat it.
Exhaust fans in bathroom needed fans as got hot and foggy
Room service was in afternoon when we came back for a rest so only cleaned our room twice in 7 nights
Good in restaurant took a long time in afternoon. The people sitting next to us took 30 min to get a steak sandwich

This is not a 4-star hotel, the place is dated and needs a through clean, the staff were helpful

The staff were friendly and helpful, as the first contact on arriving they were excellent

Cons:

The rooms are dated and smell of dampness, the rooms were not clean with mold in the bathroom (shower) and dust - dirt accumulation around the edges where no one has cleaned. There was no water in the room, there was a chipped cup which was left out and not replaced, there was one milk supplied for 4-days. the chairs and furniture in the ground floor areas are dirty with stains over the fabric; it could be a pleasant area to sit but it was not comfortable. The bedroom was noisy and you need double glazing to stop the noise from the street; the one lift was so slow that the wait times were often silly, the breakfast we paid for was adequate but not up to the standard of 4-star rated hotel, we often had to ask for more juice and or fruit which was put out in small portions. Based on our experience we would not recommend others to stay at the Novotel on the Esplanade.

Won’t be back, but the staff were awesome.
Pros:

Good location and lovely staff.

Cons:

The hotel is run down and poorly maintained. It was a real downer. We tried to spend as little time as possible there. The breakfast was abysmal.

recently stayed at Discovery Parks Katherine and absolutely loved it. The cabins were exceptional — spotless, beautiful

I would never stay here again
Pros:

The breakfast was very nice and the location was great

Cons:

We had a noisy air conditioner and stuffy room. The rooms have been badly renovated and the shower was way too awkward to use. The lifts didn’t always work

Great location. Beautiful foyer.

Cons:

The pool area was a bit dirty and uninteresting.
Spa was cold. The pool area resembles an area from a residential complex. A bit disappointing compared to the first impressions from foyer area.

A lovely hotel in a great location with friendly staff and a nice restaurant.
Pros:

A very well established hotel with a large atrium and area for wining and dining. My accommodation was upgraded to a large suite with a view of The Esplanade and the sea and was very comfortable. Unfortunately I was only able to sample one breakfast and it was delicious.
