Historic building and great location, but ask for the north building rooms.
Pros:

Location is great. A short stroll away from the buzz of Huahai Middle Rd. and Shaanxi South Rd. The building itself is also charming.

Cons:

We were not told that they would book is in the south building. We knew the hotel from previous stay, the north building is significantly nicer, and was renewed not long ago.

Nice hotel but not nice experience.
Pros:

I liked location, comfort, luxury.

Cons:

I didn't like the staff. Very unwelcoming. I had a problem with booking.com's reservation. I was bluntly told at 2 am in the morning with my exhausted family waiting at the lobby that booking.com had not paid the reservation. To pay or I could not stay. Very confusing and unhelpful.

it was good
Pros:

breakfast even though ok was very repetitive for a stay over 3 days, location was good but within hotel premises there are about 4 properties with similar name and thus end up in wrong reception then they direct you to correct one with their own shuttle within the large premises of the hotel itself.

Cons:

restaurants most of the time was booked and need to prebook, ala carte for dinner and close well before 10pm. Mini bar was not filled.
