Quality Inn & Suites South Portland

The first room we were given had a broken toilet seat (screw that held it down was rusted through) and the floor had a strange squeak. While they did move us to a new room, the fact that this room had not been taken out of service was a real red flag. Staff was fine. Breakfast was ok. But physical condition of the building was rather lacking.

Comfortable bed,ac works

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It is listed as a 3 star hotel, but it should be ranked as a 1 star! The room was filthy, the floors were sticky, the walls and floors were spattered with what looked like blood, the bathtub had hair in it from previous guests, and the paint was peeling off the walls and door. The hallways had scented plug-ins in every outlet to disguise the odour, but the room smelled of cigarette smoke and urine. I will never stay in this hotel again. It should be inspected by the Department of Health!

Nice facilities look great bed was good

They never disappoint. I stay here quite often. Whether it's for my own need to get away or with a friend or family member. I love 10 minutes away but it feels like I'm on vacation every time.

Everything was stained and filthy! Tv screen broken in room! Blood stains in the shower. The couch bed has brown stains all over the mattress and red crumbs all over it. The couch cushions has black and brown stains all over it. There are purple circle stains on the floor that will not come off. We booked a Suite and we did not get it. When we complained to the front desk that our room was disgusting and it was not the room we asked for they said "Well what do you want US to do about it?" We told them that we were heading out for a bit and we want it clean when we come back. When we came back the room was still dirty. We decided to clean EVERTHING ourselves. The room is fairly quiet. This room is not worth what we paid! The location of this place is easy to find. The vibe of the place is extremally unclean. There where no paper towels in the room and not many cups.

Smelled so bad, it was difficult to breath. I think they were covering up something like mold or a dead body. Don't know what, but it was unfit for habitation. They should refund the money, but that won't happen.

The location

The staff were nice and accommodating. Location worked for us. It wasn't the cleanest room; but I have stayed in worse. The room had an odor and we had to buy air freshener. Over all, we would stay there again.

The sweet lady at the front desk Saturday and Sunday was the highlight of our stay there.

Not sure if I can call this a hotel, the whole facility and especially the room was disgusting. I have no idea who can have a conscience to rent such rooms to people. It literally ruined one day out of our vacation. If we had a choice, we would storm out of there and not even step into this room. Do not book, run away from this place.

Dirty and run down. Not worth the money we paid. We will never return to THIS hotel again and will make sure friends and family don't either. Already booked a different hotel for our next visit!

Arrived and entering the lobby was blasted with an overwhelming 'pot purri' type scent. Check in was fine. Got to the room and found the mini-fridge did not work. Outlet next to the AC unit was loose, bedding was not clean. Read they only changed bedding every 3 days, upon leaving or if requested more often. we still stayed there. The next morning, reported our issues to the front desk where we were told the items would be taken care of. Upon returning from a day's outing, the linens/towels had been changed, the fridge and outlet not addressed. I figured grab some ice from the ice maker and use our insulated bag....ice maker wasn't working. Went out the next day expectin linen/towels to be changed however they were not. We were then informed, not when we checked in nor when we made the request for daily changes, that towels needed placing outside the door if we wanted new ones. so, aside from day 1, linen and towels were not changed as requested. FYI, the continental breakfast was mediocre at best. Sausage was cold, french toast was hard and difficult to cut with the plastic ware that was provided.

Avoid lol this hotel at all cost. The hotel is disgusting. The rooms are dirty and the locks don’t work properly. There are hairs on the bed and the shower looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. The place smells and the hallways look like you are walking through a slum. There are strange people hanging out smoking port and there was another perso passed out in the back of a pickup. We took a good look and left immediately.
