Downtown
Lots of homeless people
Overpriced
1600 dollar bill for 3 days small room 1 bed small bathroom but no choice town was booked up
It proximity to the downtown area.
The hotel is very dated. It fails miserably to meet the image it attempts to advertise. First, the room assigned to us and our small dog was room #231. The room had a beautiful view of the HVAC system located on the 2nd level of the hotel. Pigeons would bath themselves in the HVAC unit’s pool of discharged water. In fact, on one occasion, a pigeon attempted to enter our room as I had left the window partially open. The boiler room would have been a better accommodation. My thoughts are the hotel advertises its pet friendly but it’s a cash grab for them. $46 for the pet friendly services found in this room (birds included). The hotel attempts in every which way to profit from the amenities on its property including the arcade found in the Embers pub house and there’s more pinball wizardry next to the swimming pool area. The hot tub has been out of commission for awhile as a barrier is permanently fixed in front of the tub. Max water level is a little over 4 feet to ensure no one drowns in the pool. This hotel was not full but it is obvious that the pet-friendly room is room #231 with the pigeons and view of the HVAC system humming outside your room’s window.
The room itself was great, very comfortable and clean. Close to several good places to eat, and short walk to main strip of shopping. The staff were lovely. There is a pool table which was a fun add.
Position of hotel not ideal for our family, overlooking a carpark, and train and bus station.
Staff were friendly, decor was okay
Parking was scary and crowded. The under cover parking area smelled like urine. The lot behind the hotel was full of oversized trucks that made it difficult for regular sized vehicles to pass. It didn’t feel safe or well lit as a single woman travelling alone. I paid a very high rate to stay here over a busy tournament long weekend and felt like I had been taken advantage of.
Preis Leistung super
We would recommend this hotel accomodation to all who are passing through Kamloops. We were surprised at the spaciousness of the room and how well appointed it was. The front desk staff were good and helpful. They enabled us to find item in the room we could not locate.
We can't really put a finger on any dislikes as the room met our needs and more.
The close proximity of the train tracks. The bathroom was very confined, especially as we had supposedly booked 2 executive king rooms. We were booked for 2 nights we stayed 1. All three of us had hardly any sleep.
Clean and our room was completely scent free!
Lots of very scented products (or people wearing them?) right in the main reception area
Spacious room. Good location
The location and room were good, pool and hot tub were great
Parking
Nice reception, decent accommodation with a great view. The staff were very nice and helpful.
It felt a little worn.
The beds were good and comfortable
They didn't mention the jacuzzi doesn't work.
The front desk team was very welcoming and friendly. The amenities at the hotel were great.
The only thing that we didn’t enjoy was the onsite bistro for breakfast. The prices were excellent, however I guess this was a situation of you pay for what you get. The eggs are microwaved and were not good at all only managed a couple bites. My boyfriend and I had our breakfast come completely at different times so didn’t get to eat together. He ordered a breakfast wrap which took almost 45 mins and we watched people who ordered well after us receive their meals before him. Once his wrap came he had taken one bite only for an employee to come over and say they had given him the wrong one and took it away. They had brought a new one to replace that one. It is great having breakfast onsite but would recommend revamping the efficiency for example since only scrambled eggs are offered why not just have a big batch in a warming tray vs microwave.
Zentral
Laut Umgebung. Bahnlinie und Straße. Das Wasser im Pool war ziemlich kalt und der HotTub defekt.
