Pros:

This review is for Connie, the night desk agent at this hotel. My first officer and I were in a pickle when the company we work for dropped the ball and some miscommunication occurred with a daytime clerk. At 2am we wanted to sleep for sure. Connie endeavored to solve the puzzle and was both kind and funny at the time of our predicament. She got the problem solved and we were asleep in no time. Connie, you’re the A game of Hampton Inn!

Very Disappointing Experience
Pros:

We arrived at 3:00 p.m., the stated check-in time, but the room we selected at booking had not yet been cleaned. The front desk staff were dismissive and more focused on their own conversation than assisting us. We were offered another room, but the entire floor smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke.

The replacement room was dirty, appeared to have been cleaned hastily, and had a puddle of water under the bathroom sink from what appeared to be a plumbing issue. We immediately requested to check out and receive a refund. The staff agreed but seemed unsure how to handle it.

We were at the property less than 30 minutes and ultimately left for another property. We will see whether the refund is properly processed, but this was an extremely disappointing experience.

Nice hotel for the price in convenient area with great staff; would stay here again.
Pros:

Easy and early check-in. Friendliness of staff, especially at front desk for both check-in and out. Offering of water with check in/out. Cleanliness of room and plenty of parking. Location and ease of getting on/off expressway. Adequate food selection with plenty of re-stocking during breakfast. Nice pool area.

Cons:

Carpet in back stairs is quite stained. Couches in lobby are very low, too soft, and difficult to get in/out of or eat at tables. Unfortunately, there were not enough regular chairs to choose from during the busy breakfast time.

It served its purpose

The location was perfect for where I needed to be. The breakfast was okay. The environment was clean.

Cons:

There was no microwave or blow driver in the room. The air conditioner was nosey. The female desk clerk did not make eye contact when spoken too. She acknowledged me but did not look up.

Not positive so far
Pros:

So far, on my first day of check-in, my experience has not been positive. My room supposedly was ready, and the housekeepers were several rooms down the hall when I opened the door to my assigned room. Clearly, housekeepers had not finished the job as the refrigerator was wide open, doors were open and trays that were supposed to be on shelves were on top of the TV table. Most disconcerting, however, is that there is absolutely no way to reach the front desk from your room. The room phone is unmarked and neither zero nor any of the buttons work. The only number listed on the website is for a central reservations number. Using ChatGPT, I found a phone number supposedly for the front desk. However, after I was told to press zero and did, the message was that nobody was available. Highly concerning when I am on the third floor should there be an emergency.
I have been a Hilton Honors member for more than 40 years and this hotel so far has been an unpleasant surprise.
