Location
No staff to help, couldn’t lock door. Dirty, gross
I loved the location. Just blocks from French quarter and so clean. Also loved that it's in an historic bldg.
Absolutely no parking. Valet parking is fine if the valet parked at 5am. Had to walk 4 or 5 blocks to different hotel, get the clerk there to help you FINDyour car and then wait til she went and got all the keys yo all the cars parked behind us. That sucked!
Especially since we needed to get to the airport.
The staff are absolutely fantastic - Friendly, knowledgeable, and there when you need them.
The hotel is very conveniently located and it is easy to slip in and out. Also, they were very accommodating for my pet and there is a great dog park very close by. The room was very quiet too.
It is a very old building as the historical description explains outside of the building, so it doesn't have the modern size or newness of other hotels, but it is clean which means a lot.
Well we got room 208. IYKYK. Loved the ambiance. The history, the courtyard was beautiful.
Location of the property.
Lack of up to date facilities with in the room
Great central location, comfortable bed.
Quite tired and in need of some decorating
Juan that helped me when we arrived was awesome! Very friendly and helpful!
The room was very outdated and a bit dirty, bug on ceiling and alot of mosquitos in room.
Super authentic, location was great!
Na
Ideal location in the FQ next to all the best spots on bourbon street and a short walk to Frenchman street (our favorite). Leeroy was the best and made us feel welcome throughout the whole trip. We will be back whenever we come back to NOLA.
This place was awful—one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property is run down, poorly maintained, and feels completely neglected.
The rooms were in terrible condition—dirty, worn out, and far below even the most basic standards. It’s shocking that they are still renting these rooms to guests. You would genuinely be better off staying at a cheap roadside motel.
I was told they never fully rehired staff after the pandemic, and it shows everywhere. There’s a clear lack of upkeep and attention to detail.
What made it worse was management’s attitude. I spoke with the manager about the condition, and he simply didn’t care. Other guests I talked to were just as frustrated and disappointed.
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place is not worth your time or money.
Beautiful and historic building but very neglected. Balcony wasn’t clean at all, WiFi was very poor and common areas seemed to be lacking maintenance.
Even though the staff was very nice and we can have the check in earlier than usual.
My husband and I stayed here for three nights during a quick New Orleans visit between the Jazz Festival. I have been wanting to stay at this hotel since my first visit to New Orleans in the 2000s, mostly because I was intrigued by the historical stories. With a great price-point, I finally got to live this dream.
On the plus: The location is awesome. On Royal about midway in the French Quarter, you are within a 10-15 minute walk of nearly all the local treasures there. On the downside, the hotel shows of its history.
We were initially in the first-floor room. While cold and quiet (great for sleeping), it was pretty cramped. We were able to move on the last evening to a second-story room (since our room didn't get made that morning). While the same room type, this room was much roomier.
This was definitely an experience. While we liked the location, I don't think we will stay at this property again.
Location. Close to the attractions of the area.
Shower head encrusted in dirt.
A bug ran over me and bit me, don’t know if it was a roach or a bed bug.I was bitten a couple of times.
The hotel was nice and in a good location and quiet. Had all the amenities one would need and the staff was very friendly. Only downside was there were no ghost :(, but everything else was fantastic.
Loved the historical look and the.location couldn't be better.
Rooms could use a fresh coat of paint. The paint pallet was on point with the time period of the hotel.
Leroy and check in was fast!
The shower and the bed! Plus the under the bed was too clean. I found others items under there unfortunately.
We had a great time. We were in a convenient part of the Quarter for doing all of the things you want to do there as well as getting to the trolley to get to some of the further away activities like the Zoo and the WWII museum.
We really appreciated the courtyard and got a lot of relaxing done there.
The staff were so friendly and helpful!
The building is gorgeous. But it’s old, so be prepared for uneven flooring, doors that stick, and wonky plumbing. The rooms are small so not much room to spread out. Ours did not have a mini fridge. The court yard was very cute and cozy
