Cons:

The manager refused to give deposit back until I video taped the room was left in proper condition, meaning no violation. When the Maid Sandra let me back inside the room to video tape the room was left in proper order and no rules were violated. The maid Sandra lied and said she saw cigarettes ashes in order to keep my deposit. I recorded the conversation on my I phone and took pics , when I informed them , the Manager n Sandra the maid . the Manager then threatened to not give my Deposit back, I called my bank and informed them of the possible fraudulent a activity with $50 deposit, the bank said they charged me $170 , no $120 , so I went back in to inform the manager and get get receipt for deposit n credit for deposit as well Manage refused to supply document for deposit nor refund . Horrible experience. Also the room carpet 224 was soaking wet at the entry uoto 4ft into the room from an adjacent flood of water coming from another room. I called Corporate Howard Johnson to report fraudulent practices as well .

Kind staff and great location, but ultimately can't recommend because the rooms are so mildewy.
Pros:

Staff is incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. This was my third time staying here and staff is always the best thing about the stay. Beds are comfortable, location is excellent for accessing everything to do in Torrance, and waffle maker breakfast was very nice. Price is the best you'll get in the area- but do remember you get what you pay for.

Cons:

Every time I have stayed here (three times in three years!) I have noticed the rooms are extremely damp. The carpet feels almost wet on bare feet, the air is musty and mildewy, and any wet clothes or swimwear left out to dry remains damp. Leaving the extractor fan on in the bathroom doesn't help, and putting the AC fan on high doesn't help either. I understand the hotel is 10 minutes from the water but it is dreadfully, uncomfortably damp, moreso than any beach hotel I've stayed in. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a mold problem that guests can't see. It feels like the hotel maybe needs a central dehumidifying system and new carpets for the rooms. I won't be staying here again when I return to Torrance because the humidity of the rooms is so gross.

I won’t stay there again because of the carpet & lack of breakfast options.
Pros:

The only good thing at breakfast was the coffee. The beds and bathroom was clean.

Cons:

The carpet in room 203 was old & dirty. We had black stuff come off our feet. The carpet should be replaced. Eggs & bacon should be added.

i liked how everything was so close together

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was not great as only waffles available. Room rug was filthy.
Pros:

Room was dark which was great for sleeping.

Cons:

The rugs were filthy. Our feet were black just walking across the rug once. Only waffles for breakfast. Not much of a breakfast. It should not be advertised as offering a breakfast.

Это просто чудесный отель за эту стоимость!!Ещё и с бесплатной стоянкой!Завтрак скудноват конечно ,но во-первых,он есть))Что опять же за эту стоимость удивительно!А во-вторых кофе-чай-сок были в доступе круглосуточно и без ограничений,что большая редкость.Номер был без нареканий,чистый,с хорошими кроватями,средствами для душа,феном,холодильником и микроволновкой.До аэропорта LAX минут 20 до гаражей для сдачи прокатной машины,а оттуда бесплатный шаттл в терминалы вылета.
