We made it work in terrible conditions
Pros:

Everything was atrocious from the moment we booked in.
It claims it was 900 meters from the city centre. What a lie!
The staff were completely indifferent to our needs.
The room was nothing like the advertised.
Pillows were unusable , housekeeping non existent.
Once in 5 days we had housekeeping we had to continually ask for fresh towels at reception..

Cons:

Everything. A dodgy not safe area too far to walk anywhere it felt unsafe.
No cafes restaurants close by.
Dirty
Terrible bar area so every scary people there!
This hotel should not have 4 stars 2 is generous.

Good, clean hotel with ok-ish location. Some staff didn't meet our expectations.
Pros:

Room is large and modern

Cons:

Staff at check-in was not the best. Didn't ask how our trip was, didn't know we already paid for the room, didn't give us the free public transport pass that we should have been given. Location is a bit far from the center if you want to walk, but close enough to restaurants and shops.

Komfortables Hotel 10' fußläufig zur Altstadt. Gutes Frühstück, schöne kleine Sauna.

Cons:

Die Geräuschkulisse bei offenem Fenster ist schon etwas nervig.

Comfortable and very pleasant stay
Pros:

Very comfortable, clean and friendly. Large bedroom. The free transport pass for the buses and trains for the duration of the stay in Salzburgis a really good idea

Cons:

Nothing really. It is a bit of a walk into town but fine for us.
