The building itself and the lobby are elegant, and the location in Wien is convenient. That’s about where the positives end for me.

Cons:

I booked half board for myself and my 17-year-old niece, and it turned out her meals weren’t included in the price — this wasn’t clear anywhere in the confirmation. I ended up having to pay €103 extra for her breakfast and dinner. At check-in, I asked if I could swap my own dinner (valued at €65) for her breakfast instead, since I didn’t want the dinner — the staff refused, even after I asked to speak with the manager. He just repeated that this was “my contract with Booking.com” and wouldn’t engage beyond that. I offered to pay for her breakfast directly and even that took a lengthy back-and-forth before they agreed to €38. Then at dinner, the menu offered was limited and worth nowhere near €65 — maybe €30 at most for what was on it. For a hotel at this price point, the lack of flexibility and transparency was genuinely disappointing.
