Charming boutique hotel to return to
Pros:

It is the nicest boutique hotel I stayed in. The design is beautiful. It is so elegant and cozy. There are complimentary drinks and food as well as free bicycle that we used the entire stay. The hotel is right next to Al the museums and close to the center. Behind the hotel is a an elegant high end shopping street.

Cons:

We initially booked one small single room and it was in the attic with one window . We did not love it and upgraded for a small amount to a medium room which is actually super big and can fit a family.

Nice hotel in a great location
Pros:

Great location. Nice reception area and small, cosy rooms downstairs where you can sit and eat, drink coffee or a glass of wine. Small garden with chairs and tables. The staff make you feel welcome as if you're a friend, not just a customer.

Cons:

My room was small but nicely designed.
The bathroom was very small... it had a shower in a corner with a plastic curtain to pull around you.

I did like the hotel, mostly for the location.
Pros:

The library, the outdoor patio, the locationin proximity to Museumplein.

Cons:

The Duvet cover was extremely lumpy- they're supposed to be smooth. It was pretty loud outside the hotel at night, but I brought noise canceling headphones. Room was extremely small.

AMAZING!! Must stay!!!
Pros:

My mother, aunt, cousin, and I absolutely adored this hotel! If we had the option, we would definitely give it a perfect score of 100 stars. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We must give a special shoutout to Mercedes, the receptionist. She was incredibly welcoming, helpful and informative, going above and beyond to answer all our questions.

The breakfast was simply amazing! We had breakfast every morning during our stay, and we eagerly anticipated it each day. The beds, pillows, blankets, and air conditioning were all incredibly comfortable, making our stay truly enjoyable.

Thank you for making our first visit to the Netherlands a memorable one. This hotel truly made our stay unforgettable, and we will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Amsterdam. Thank you so much!

Cons:

I loved everything about the property!!

We had an amazing trip staying at the Jan Luyken, our room was beautiful and cozy
Pros:

The breakfast and snacks/bar throughout the day were our favorite parts of the property. The room was beautiful as well

Cons:

We had some plumbing issues out of the control of the property and had to move rooms, but everyone was very accommodating and they seemed to have gotten the issue in the dining area resolved quickly :)

Pros:

The room was a good size for Amsterdam. It was located close to the museums (e.g., Van Gogh) but a little further away from the center. The hotel has a nice homey concept (sitting and lounging area, free drinks). The décor was lovely.

Cons:

It was a little noisy with doors opening and closing constantly, so forget about taking an afternoon nap. The breakfast while good was the same every day.
