Le Gym la picsine et le sauna veritablement exellent
Beacoup descaliers peut accesible pour les gents avec des difficultws de mobilite
Gym was good
In general more like a motel rather than a hotel. Visit starts with guests having to carry luggage up a long staircase. It was mentioned we could have helped but no one did. Not really what you need after travel. Breakfast not great. Staff too busy and food wasnt filled up. Reception area seemed more like a train station hall. Only one elevator worled resulting in long waiting time.
A great location in the old town, close to everything. Our room was smallish but comfortable. The breakfast was poor value, there was only one person on who could not cope, and the buffet was not getting replenished. The selection was poor, too.
- close to citycenter and FEQ
- swimmingpool and fitness room : opening hours, cleanliness, number of machines
- stairs at the entrance
- only 1 lift was working
It was an okay experience, too many stairs, not easy access to our vehicle, no mention of our 50th Wedding Anniversary, from any staff. In Ottawa they gave us a nice dessert with Happy 50th inscribed, and a bottle of Champagne, in Quebec City at Porfino Restaurant gave us free liqueur, next day in Bai Saint Catharines a nice appertif...this was a huge 🍾 celebration for us. I mentioned it a couple times to front staff...not a pleasantry mention of our Anniversary that was the very night we stayed at your Hotel Manior in Quebec City
The hotel's location was very easy to get to by car, the garage was easy to get in and out of for day trips outside the city, and it was incredibly easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go within the city. The facilities were great, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel felt busy without being crowded. Even though they were doing some work to the lobby stairs, it was still a great experience overall.
I'm not sure how accessible it would be for those with mobility issues. The lobby is located one flight above ground level and we did not see any elevators, only the flight of stairs.
Despite speaking in French with her, the reception member of staff was aloof and unhelpful and confused matters by taking for granted that we had arrived by car as opposed to train and was fixated on hotel car parking charges. (She wore no identification badge). She behaved similarly upon ‘checking out’ 3 days later.
Immediately upon entering the hotel, you are confronted by a rising and significant flight of stairs (photo attached). There is no alternative access. There appears no warning of this for prospective guests that might find this physically challenging.
The window blind did not cover the window entirely and was therefore an issue on the bright sunny mornings. (Photo attached)
The room’s air conditioning was extremely noisy and the temperature was far too cold. Unfortunately, the setting could not be altered.
L'emplacement, le confort des lits et l'espace dans les chambres dont les équipements. .
Pas de peignoir pour aller à la piscine et la femme de ménage qui.toque à la porte trop tôt le matin pour savoir si.ellr pouvait faire la chambre..
Woke up several times in the night due to the noisy air-conditioning unit which sounded like an pneumatic drill! I also didn't sleep well due to the size of the bed which was advertised as 'queen' but was in my view more 3/4 size as my husband and I had barely any space between us - it was definitely not large!. The overall quality of the room was tired, dated and more like a 3 star than a four star and needed badly upgrading. The hotel's entrance had many steps, however a telephone was at the foot to request help carrying luggage which was helpful, but beyond the splendour of the lobby, the rest of the hotel was far lower than I would expect from a 4 star hotel. For example, the bathroom was extremely dated, with a bathtub and overhead shower that had a shower curtain rather than a screen and didn't prevent the floor from flooding even when the curtain was placed inside the bath. There was no 'vanity' mirror in the bathroom and the room generally had a feeling of being very 'basic'. Despite it being advertised as 4 star it needed modernising in my view and I wouldn't personally recommend it.
We stayed here for two wonderful nights!
They are in an amazing location. Walking distance to everything old Quebec City has to offer. We parked the car and walked everywhere
The atmosphere was that of a fancy 5-star hotel without the five star cost.
Our room was sparkling clean and I didn't hear any hallway noise. I was pleasantly surprised by the daily maid service! This is always welcome in my book.
They do have a pool and sauna, but we didn't partake in those so I can't say how they are. My only tiny complaint, is the TV. We are evening TV watchers, most of the channels are in French and we don't speak or read French so it was a struggle for us to find something in English.
The buffet breakfast is fantastic and I highly recommend it. The options were plentiful, the food fresh and kept stocked. It was a great price for the money.
Very clean room.
Gym, cold bath, and sauna was incredible.
Excellent location to restaurants and sights of interest.
The workout/fitness room was great, pool area and sauna were popular and very nice.
They have a set of stairs with at least 20 steps or more at the entrance inside, it was the only option, and the hotel staff or patrons must carry luggage and belongings up those steps to the reception desk. There was no carpet on those steps, they had taped down a plastic covering instead. It wasn’t a very welcoming sight! We arrived on a Tuesday and finally by Friday they had laid down and installed a new carpet. Only a slight smell from the glue so it was definitely an improvement overall.
The location was brilliant and it had a beautiful old quebec charm whilst still feeling fresh and modern in the rooms. The staff were also really lovely.
There wasn’t a filtered water dispenser on every floor.
