Great option near Union Square
Pros:

Very nice and helpful staff. Location is great two blocks from Union Square. Good morning coffee available.

Cons:

Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Expensive parking. Hotel is a little dated but rooms are well kept

I would go back to The Marker Hotel.
Pros:

Lovely architecture and interiors. Staff are helpful and very accommodating. Comfortable bed and we slept well. Nice location. Close to everything we wanted to see in downtown San Francisco.

Cons:

Room is on the small side.

Nos quedamos 5 noches y no sabemos porque en la noche antes de irnos cuando llegamos al hotel la habitación estaba sin hacer y por supuesto no habían puesto las toallas. Somos 4 personas y todos los días ponían toallas para 3 personas tuve que bajar a recepción todos los días a decirlo . LO PEOR DEL HOTEL LA UBICACIÓN, salíamos del hotel con miedo porque la calle estaba llena de mendigos y drogadictos de fentanilo JN MIEDO INCREÍBLE. El parking carísimo pero me consta que en San Francisco los parkings son así de caros.

Great staff and good value
Pros:

Really wonderful staff! Harvey at the front desk helped us get checked in early when our flight came in earlier than expected. Beautiful hallway and library. Comfy bed and clean room, great water pressure and lovely local bath products. Location makes it easy to get around anywhere in the city.

Tolles Hotel mit sehr netten und bemühten Mitarbeitern. Es gab in der Früh immer Kaffee und eine Gutschein für ein Glas Wein. Das Zimmer war sehr groß

Pros:

Our stay at The Marker San Francisco completely changed our honeymoon experience and turned what had started as a disappointment into one of the highlights of our trip.
We had originally booked another hotel near Union Square, but unfortunately the room had an extremely loud fan-forced heating system that made it almost impossible to sleep. Since it was our honeymoon, we were truly disappointed and worried that our stay in San Francisco would be ruined.
Everything changed the moment we arrived at The Marker. If I could give this hotel more than five stars, I absolutely would. It truly deserves a five-star rating for the outstanding experience it offers.
A special thank you to Ridhi and the gentleman at the front desk who assisted us throughout our stay. Both were exceptionally kind, professional, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They listened to our situation with empathy, made us feel valued from the very first moment, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Their warmth, positive attitude, and outstanding customer service were truly the turning point of our stay in San Francisco. They didn't just check us in—they made us feel at home.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. From the moment you enter, you are welcomed by an elegant and inviting lobby, full of character and charm, that immediately gives you the feeling of staying somewhere special. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, spotless, quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was amazing, the bathroom was immaculate, and every detail reflected exceptional care and attention. Housekeeping was excellent, and the entire property was impeccably clean and very well maintained.
The location is perfect, just a short walk from Union Square while still offering a peaceful atmosphere where you can truly relax after a day exploring San Francisco.
The Marker gave us exactly what we had hoped for during our honeymoon: comfort, tranquility, elegance, and genuine hospitality.
