Check-in

Upon arrival, our first assigned room was in unacceptable condition and clearly not properly cleaned. We immediately found:

* Hairs and toenails on the floor
* Unremoved trash
* Stained bed sheets
* Dirty shower
* Dirty sinks and mirror
* Dark stains on the toilet seat

We reported these issues immediately and were moved to a second room.

Room Issues Second Room

The second room also had significant problems:

* Ongoing cleanliness issues
* Room was not properly prepared for occupancy
* We ultimately had to clean the room ourselves
* We were forced to purchase our own bed sheets to have a clean sleeping environment

Despite reporting the issues, the room was only cleaned one time during the entire 4-night stay.

Maintenance Problems

The second room also had major functional issues:

* TV was broken and never repaired
* Air conditioning was not working, with temperatures consistently 78°F or higher throughout the stay
* Front desk responded quickly when the AC issue was first reported, but it was never resolved
* The front desk offered cleaning, but only the floor was mopped and no real correction was made
* The shower backed up, and when reported, staff stated: “I don’t know how to fix that.”

Impact on Stay

We were traveling with a baby and a toddler, and it was already around 9 PM when we first discovered the condition of the room. We were also traveling with extended family staying at the same hotel.

We did not leave only because:

* We had already paid for the stay
* We had very young children late at night
* We did not want to disrupt our family’s travel arrangements

We gave the hotel multiple opportunities to correct the issues, but they persisted throughout the entire stay.

Resolution Request

We did receive a discount that showed up at check out , but it was applied to only one day, despite issues affecting all four nights.

We are requesting a full refund for the entire 4-night stay, as the room was not clean, functional, or as advertised.

Summary of issues:

* Two rooms with cleanliness problems
* Broken TV never repaired
* AC not functioning (78°F+ throughout stay)
* Shower backup with no resolution
* Room cleaned only once in 4 nights
* Guests forced to clean room and purchase bedding

This experience was completely unacceptable and does not meet the standards expected from Marriott. We expect hotel management and Marriott to take full responsibility and provide an appropriate resolution.

This hotel was a complete disappointment, and I won't be staying here again.
Upon check-in, we were assigned a room where maintenance was clearly still working. After returning to the front desk, we were moved to what we were told was an upgraded room, but it was far from an improvement. There were dirty cleaning rags left in the bottom of the closet, the door for the air conditioner was hanging open and in terrible condition, and the entire room felt sand, as though it hadn't been properly cleaned.

The hallways had a strong, unpleasant odor, which only added to the overall impression that the property was poorly maintained.

Customer service was equally disappointing. The front desk associate who checked us in was far from welcoming. After settling into our room, we requested sheets and blankets for the pull-out sofa and were told they were "in the wash" and that they would try to get us some that evening. They never did, so we had to go out and purchase our own sheets. Fortunately, we had packed an extra blanket ourselves. We also requested two pillows and were simply told that the hotel didn't have any available.

The bathroom showed obvious signs of neglect as well. The wall-mounted bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash had fallen off and had never been reinstalled, leaving visible wall damage behind.

Between being checked into an unfinished room, the dirty conditions, unpleasant odors, lack of basic amenities, poor maintenance, and indifferent customer service, this stay was unacceptable. I can't recommend this hotel, and I definitely won't be returning.

The rooms.

We visited the Selena Museum and then relaxed at the hotel. The suite was spotless and having a washer dryer in the room was super convenient. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Came for Spring at the Silos event and couldn't have picked a better hotel. Walking distance wasn't possible but short drive. Room was immaculate.

The weather was perfect during our stay so we spent time exploring the waterfront. Rooms are spacious and modern. Front desk helped us find good seafood restaurants nearby. Can't say enough good things about this place!

We were in town for a Baylor basketball game and this was the ideal spot. Quick drive to campus, spacious suite, good breakfast options.

Stayed here during spring break with my family and it was worth every penny. We could walk to so many places from here. Kitchen in the room saved us a ton on meals. Breakfast gets crowded around 8am but if you go earlier or later its fine.

Spring break with teenagers - they loved the fitness center and we loved the in-room kitchen. Cooked a few meals to save money and it worked perfectly!

Breakfast was good. Location was alo good.

I really liked this hotel room. I stayed here for two days. I had a corner studio suite with a range, full size refrigerator, and microwave. I had two full size windows across two full size desks. Plenty of room to work while watching the home depot parking lot (I know, not an ideal view). This is one od the best rooms I have stayed in. Very quiet. Walking distance to Sams Club, Academy, Home depot. Giant size liquor store next to Pets Mart in the other direction (Same size as the Pets Mart). Restaurants within a two minute walk are On the Border, and Ojos Locos Sports Cantina. On the Border has half on Fajitas on Wednesdays. Nightly specials for Ohos Locos - don't bring kids as it is a bar atmosphere.
