The Marriott Gas Lamp has a great location in relation to downtown, the stadium, and the convention center.
The hotel itself was clean, and comfortable to explore.
The lobby was a touch small, but I don’t personally hang in the lobby very much anyhow.
If you have access, the lounge is decent, but the evening service is meager at best. Since this is a complementary service for those with access, I did not give it too much weight, but a great lounge can make a stay too notch!
The front desk folks were nice enough, but kind of just there. They greet you, check you in, and send you on your way; nothing over the top, or too helpful.
location and staff
La mejor cama en la que he dormido en mi vida
El precio, algo caro
Everything was fine except that room clean up was coming a bit late. Increasing the number of staff could probably solve this problem.
Also, absence of lunch within the hotel was a bit disturbing. ordering brought some inconveniences.
Room rate is too expensive
Great location, employees were very nice and very helpful, hot water came on right away
Room was setup well but the carpet was not clean and drapes were dirty. The sham on the bed was dirty also.
Location was great. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see.
Beds were so uncomfortable, TV so old and outdated and remote did not work. We paid so much for that room and it was not worth it.
Location
Can’t beat the location! The hotel is right next to the stadium and across from the convention center. Lots of great restaurants close by. Overall, we had a decent stay.
Good things:
- friendly staff
- location
- clean
- refrigerator in room
- great water pressure in the shower
- comfy beds
Not so good things:
- if you’re noise-sensitive, this may not be the place for you. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but it’s REALLY noisy until REALLY late at night. We were on quite a high level and it was difficult to sleep.
- lack of charging near the bed for devices
- having to pay $10/day for WiFi unless you’re a Bonvoy member is insanity in 2026. Rip off.
- $68/day parking is ridiculous
The location was very good, close to the convention center.
AC had some trouble but changed the room and it was fixed.
The location and rooftop
The rooms were outdated. The beds were not comfortable. The room didn’t have a fridge
Very busy with the Dodgers in town for a baseball game, but the staff was very attentive.
